My neighbor in her 70's walks her dog around our neighborhood in her mobilzed scooter, i think from the scooter store. The dog tends to pull on the leash sometimes and get's loose when the leash is pulled from her hand. Is there a safer alternative to walking a dog when a person is using a mobil scooter? Maybe an attachment for the scooter which wont tip it over so she can use both hands to steer and the dog can be attached to her scooter without tipping it over?

My puppy has lost almost all of her puppy teeth except two of her canines. The new canines are already coming in beside the old ones and it is hurting her terribly. I think I am going to have to take her to the vet to get them out. Does anyone know how much it cost to have teeth extracted from a dog?

We noticed it a few days ago on the side of his neck. It didn't seem to cause him any pain and there was no evident wound. It came on very suddenly and is getting quite large. His demeanor has changed alot and he doesn't want to eat. He doesn't seem to be in pain from it, but it came on so suddenly I was wondering if anyone knew what may cause it?

We leave our dog a couple of KONG toys every day while we're at work and I'm always looking for a new "recipe" or flavor to put in there to keep him interested for as long as possible.

I've cleaned it with hot soapy water, but I'm wonder if there are products I can get to stop it smelling, and while I'm here, what the best way to train her not to do it again.

Are there any benifits to clipping? We have not yet decied whether or not to clip them. Doberman already have a bad rep and clipping makes them look mean and I'm not sure what to do yet. Thanks for your opinions in advance!

My dad has been keeping my husky for the last 4 months since I moved to an apartment in Syracuse. My husband and I are now buying a house and would like to get my dog up here. The problem is that she gets very sick during a car ride. She generally can't even spend 15 minutes in the car without throwing up. What can I do to make this trip pass uneventfully for both myself and my dog? She's an outside dog, so she's not house broken. I don't want her to be miserable but I don't want to be cleaning up messes the whole way either.

I ask because an AC officer came and said that even if he is only out for 10 minutes I must have a dog house if he goes outside??? I checked the local and state animal code and it says 'provide shelter' and he lives in my house and only goes out to play or bathroom???

I have an old beagle 13 yrs + I have noticed she seems to be in pain lately. Her stools have been very loose and she has not been eating well. She also has a very bad odor, (GAS?). When she has pain she arches her back and walks around several seconds until the discomfort lessens. Could this be worms or something more serious? Thanks

We sold a dog over 2 weeks ago and the lady calls us this morning and tells us the puppy died on Sunday, she says he was throwing up, when we asked if she took him to the vet she said they were closed on Sunday, but we know from experience that you can get twenty-four hour service for a vet fee, my question is, Are we obligated by law to give her another dog, or a discount on another dog?

I feel like she didn't take good care of him, we took the puppy to the vet twice and he had a clean bill of health, I feel that he probably caught something at her house.

Also this woman lives in Florida and we live in Alabama, I know Florida has laws on this but not Alabama.
Thanks and May God Bless you all.

I have a 10 wk old male blue heeler named Gus. I've had him about 1 mth. He's always had a bit of aggresion. My husband & I did some research on them and heelers are "protective" dogs. He growls at us often & bites alot. We thought we could train him otherwise. We also figured alot of it was just being a puppy...so we bought lots of toys/bones. Last night we got a female heeler to later breed with him. We expected some trouble, but he's went nuts. Everytime that she moves, he will run at her and tear into her. Some nipping is characteristic of heelers,...but this is an all out BITE. He keeps walking right in front of her and backing his rear end in her face. He will also walk beside her and put his whole body weight on her...just lean into her. She has defensively nipped back into him,...but she's scared...it's obvious. He's actually brought blood. What's gotten into him? How can I fix it? (Obedience school isn't an option.) I'm worried now for the new pup & my kids.

My mom says she has a nervous stomach, and we did just go on a roadtrip. But yesterday she barely got off the couch until my boyfriend got home from work. Is it possible that she was depressed?

The dog is 2 years old, potty trained, and has never had problems with accidents in the house. Lately, he has been using the restroom on the carpet (#1 and #2) EVERY single time we leave the house. We always take him out and give him ample time to use the restroom before we leave. Even if he goes potty outside, we leave for 30 minutes, come back and he has managed to leave ANOTHER present on the floor. I tried a crate a few months ago (for chewing) and he would cry the entire time we were gone (got complaints from neighbors). I have tried just about everything. I reward him when he does potty outside. I clean the mess up with vinegar. I take him for walks before I leave.

I feel like he is doing this as a retaliation for being left alone (since he is a pound puppy and has seperation anxiety.) What else can I be doing to stop this? Do I just keep the reward/clean up system going....because so far it's not working.
