My neighbor in her 70's walks her dog around our neighborhood in her mobilzed scooter, i think from the scooter store. The dog tends to pull on the leash sometimes and get's loose when the leash is pulled from her hand. Is there a safer alternative to walking a dog when a person is using a mobil scooter? Maybe an attachment for the scooter which wont tip it over so she can use both hands to steer and the dog can be attached to her scooter without tipping it over?

I think its called a "springer"....its a device you put on a bicycle and is on a spring.....its designed so your dog can't pull the bike over. You could search them on the net, and maybe modify it a bit for the scooter.

Although it is a smart alecky thing to say to someone who really needs a scooter, my first impulde is to say "a mobil scooter is not an accessory for dog-walking?!" However, you do bring up a valid point about needing hands free to steer. If there is nothing out there on the market like a handy-dandy, hands-free, mobil scooter leash attachment, also known as gray duct tape, I'd bet any number of friends, mechanics or handymen would love to build something.
ps. The dog can tip the scooter over? What are you walking, an Irish Wolfhound?

There are some attachments made to attach a dog to bicycles for exercise. Maybe it can be attached to that scooter too. If that can not work, maybe she can use a longer lead and tie it somewhere on the scooter. She would have to watch out so the lead does not get caught in the wheels or some other place.

For that variety of money, no longer on your existence! I take my canines cycling on only a flat collar and leash and may't pedal quick or not person-friendly adequate to interrupt a sweat without going too quick for my canines, so as it really is a enormously lazy way for me workout my canines. The bicycle i exploit fee me $15 at a backyard sale and that i had to interchange a brake cable on it for further or less yet another $5. finished funding: $20. Now, i do not recommend that mind-set to using with a canines to everyone because that is totally risky with a large canines. yet there are bicycle attachments for walking a canines that are a lot safer and could keep the canines from pulling the rider over if he unexpectedly comes to a decision to lunge in yet another route. they could't be better than $60.

Ceaser Milan had an episode w/ a little beagle and a guy w/ a scooter. Purchase a longer lead. Maybe a 15' lead. She can loop it around her arm rest or the basket or something. That way she can keep her hands free.
