My dog is nearly 6 months old now and has the bad habit of peeing in the house. This is peeing me off!! Seriously though, I would really like some advice as to how to get him to stop it. I have caught him doing it and told him off and dragged him outside, but to no avail.

Help please.

I know the owners take them to the vet but what is the point of cutting their tails? My dog still has her tail and I want her with a tail.

She has been acting really strange lately. Not her happy self. Kinda like she is distancing herself from us. Hides behind my recliner. Been to the vet 3 months ago. Had a great check up for her age.She hasn't been eating much for the last week. Today hubby said she hasn't ate or drank anything. Teeth look good. She doesn't seem to be in pain. If she isn't better Monday she will be going to vet. Just wondered if anyone could advise..she is the best dog ever and when her time is up she will be missed....Thanks

I have pug who is diabetic, and was wondering what tablefood he could have. I know it wouldn't be much, but I would like to give him a treat here and there. Thanks.

I was looking online at shelter dogs who need homes, and something on one of the pages was flashing and said that the chicagoland pet expo was coming on march 16, 17, and 18 of 2007. What will go on at the pet expo? Will they be selling dogs?

She is about 3 months old and my children love her, but it's impossible to play with her because all she wants to do is bite and growl. I'm so frustrated, I've tried discipline (time outs in the kennel and "NO"), but nothing seems to work. HELP

I don't know how else to phrase it. My 9 year old Retriever was acting funny one day, like panting heavily and looking like he was smiling. The next day, he was in the basement and barking at 4 am and wouldn't come up the stairs. I had to convince him to come up and then he slunk down like he was bad or scared. He wouldn't follow me and seemed so frightened. Then, later, he destroyed some of the house while I was at work.

It's like separation anxiety but why would it come on all of the sudden?

And please don't just reply "See a vet". Not only do I plan to do that, I'm looking for answers from someone who is knoweldgeable and cares about dogs.

I have a 7 month old Labradoodle. I only got him in mid January and he is used to people and other dogs always being around.
I am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to spend with him but there are times i need to go to the store or a Dr appt and can't take him. He freaks out if I leave him at home. Barks from the time I am gone til I get back.He has actually lost his bark from doing this!and I have had complaints from neighbors.
I do not want to get a "shock" collar and im not sure about a muzzle because then he cant drink water, and wouldnt he just whine as much as he could?
I think I am going to get his brother(same litter)that way he has a friend and I am hoping that this eases the anxiety when I cant be home. I should be able to leave them alone together, right? They are both potty trained and don't have a habit of chewing on anything other than toys.
This is the first pet I have had as an adult so I am not sure what the best thing to do is...

My German Sheppard used to pick off rose hips(?)(those little balls that form before the flower on a rose bush) and spit them on to the ground. And my 10 month old Sheppard female tries to scoop the water out of the drinking bowl with her nose as fast as she can before a male Rottwieler, we are looking after, gets to it. Yes it looks hilarius.

We just adopted a new dog (adult) from a shelter. Overall, she's great, but when she's alone in the house, she gets upset and claws at the front door, scratching big chunks of wood and paint off of the doorframe. We have no where else to close her up in the house, unless we get a crate for her. Is there anyway we can stop her from doing this? If a crate is the only way, can you crate train an older dog?
