It depends on type, you have to look into lots of different factors, IE are they show dogs, pets etc. If its a show dog you're breeding you have to look at your own dog and see what he or she lacks and choose the mate accordingly, the same applies to temperament.

Not quite sure what you mean, could you add a bit more to your question please?
If you mean it's pedigree then you can't change that after it is already born, if you are thinking of breeding your own dog then 1/you have to have a superior quality b1tch and 2/you need to find a superior quality dog! and you also need lots of money and time and the correct facilities. even with all of this you can't guarantee anything 100%!
Other than that I don't know what you mean
