What type dog do you think is the strongest? I have red nose pitbull and I was wondering would this type of dog take down a wolf or something and how strong is it?

Pit Bulls are very strong, and more important to the question, have very strong jaw muscles, and have one of the strongest bites known to dogs. Putting a Pit Bull against a wolf is not a easy answer, a wild wolf cornered by a domestic pit bull, the wolf would probably win, but just to get away. Wolves don't go after other dogs for 'fun'. In the ring of dog fighting, Pits dominate, so a dog ring fight, wolf against Pit would be based on the individual dog. I DO NOT condone dog fighting in anyway. I have seen Pits in action and kill other animals, they are very strong and aggressive when they need to be. I love Pits and do not believe all Pits are aggressive animals - for the record.

Why do pitbull owners are always so much into how "strong" their dog is?
I don't know, but it depends on what kind of strength we're talking about. A rottweiler would be pretty strong... all muscle, but then a huge saint bernard who weighs a lot might just sit on a rottweiler and kill him.

Jennifer, I like your answer... I'm romanian :)

Well I hope your not training him to fight or trying to see if he can take other dogs down. If you are then you are creating a monster.

If your just curious and want to know about strong dogs I think that Bull Mastiffs are very strong and they are huge!

I'd say a Rotweiler. Why do you care if your dog can take down a wolf?? Are you planning a wolf confrontation anytime soon?

With thoughts like that you should not have a dog. But to answer your question, It is not the size of the dog in the fight. But the size of the fight in the dog.
