well usually the dog will limp, but appearantly you know that already. did you try taking the dog to the vet? if you havnt done that then you gotta do it, fast. and even if it turns out that its leg isnt broken, at least you'll know whats wrong. i hope that helps.

In the case of fractured and broken legs, tail or any bones it is very important that the puppy be kept still and calm and that no attempt to move it be made until the broken bone has been place in a splint or immobilized in some other way. If the puppy has been hit by a moving vehicle and you are not sure whether or not hit has suffered any damage to its spine, you should place something hard and rigid, like a table or board, under it before attempting to move it. If you do need to move the puppy and have place something hard under it make sure that all of the puppy is on the board and that no part of it is hanging off. Never use anything flexible, like a sheet or towel to move a puppy that has suffered damage to its backbone (or is suspected to have suffered damage). If for the safety of the puppy you absolutely must move it (such as if it lying in the highway) and you have nothing else available besides some material then carefully introduce the cloth under the puppy's body and pull it
along the ground from the end where the puppy's head is. Never attempt to pull the puppy along the ground from the side and do not try and lift the puppy on the flexible material or you could worsen the injury. Until you get the puppy to the veterinarian or emergency clinic try to keep its body temperature normal and steady. If you need to cover it to keep it warm be careful that it doesn't over heat as this can also cause further complications. Never attempt to self medicate the puppy or fail to have it completely checked up after suffering an accident or injury. There are many problems or potential problems that can only be diagnosed by a professional using the proper equipment. If you have a question always consult with your veterinarian.

The best way to tell is to take it to the vet for x-rays. Better to be safe than sorry. Probably cost anywhere from $50 to $125 . Not much considering the dog might be in pain, if you love your pet give him medical attention. If you don't have the money ask for payments or take to humane society and explain situation.
My dog had cancer and never missed a meal. He had a tumor growing back by his rectum actually pushing out. Ate every meal . His oncologist gave him 2 months he almost made it.
Good Luck!

Did your dog recently get hurt? If so, it's probably hurt in some way, but it really depends on how long they have been limping for, if your dog has a collar call the vet tag #. Just let it lay down and don't make it do anything physical unless needed.

It could just be a sprain. Dogs hide pain very well (they dont want to see to be weak as in a pac they would get picked on) I would definatly see a vet as if it is broke the quicker its seen to the better it will heal. As when it starts to set it can be in a funny postion. i did have a dog though that wen u said saw leg he would limp!

The best and most guaranteed way is to take the dog to the vet. They can x-ray the dog and tell you for sure.

I just do not understand why people like you own animals....Take the dog to a vet. It is pretty obvious that if the dog is not walking.....SOMETHING is WRONG.
