I recently bought a new Yorkie mix,and the breeder had most of his shots taken care of execpt for 3. I got him caught up at 7 weeks, but I dont know if there are follow-up shots at different ages.
And are there any he can live without? and Some I definatly should get?
Please HELP! I am new to this.

Puppies need to be vaccianted at 8-9 weeks for distemper/parvo/canine hepatitis/adenovirus-2 (they should NEVER be vaccianted under 7 weeks of age!!)

then a second vacciantion same as above at 12-14 weeks of age and then a third same as above at 16 - 18 weeks of age. They then get rabies at 20 weeks or older.

Your puppy may or may not need a lepto vacciantion depending on if lepto is a high risk in your area.

Your puppy should NOT get a corona vacciantion.

Go to the AAHA site for the current vacciantion protocol or go to Dr.Jean Dodds site. If you can pick up a copy of the Whole Dog Journal November 2006 issue. It has an excellant article on vacciantions.
