For a 25 lb, adult Pug... how much, how often would you feed? MEALS, not treats.

My chocolate lab 10 month old pup began sucking about two months ago, on her blankie. She does it several times a day when she wants too settle down. This is a new habit that won't hurt her, I'm just curious. Does anyone know what she could be lacking? We don't crate her, she has free run of the house, she gets exercise 2 - 3 per day and is around us 80% of the time. She even sleeps with us. I'm stumped.... should I try to stop her?

Our Shih Tzus, Miracle and Blessing, need some help with potty-training.
The vet says that Miracle isn't allowed to go outside untill she gets this shot.Miracle is just about to turn 6 months. We had her trained to where she'd bark for us to let go outside, and if we wern't around, she'd pee on her potty pad. Now, Miracle is peeing wherever she wants to. It seems as if she's untrained herself...

Next for Blessing, she is almost 3 months and we have to comfine her all of the time due to her this. She's a very stuborn dog, and she dosen't listen to anything. If you says "Blessing, you shouldn't have done that!" she'll respond to that by putting her tail between her legs and walks slowy twords you, but that's because she knows thats she's done something wrong.
We don't care if Blessing never knows how to go outside and pee, we just want her to understand to pee on the dog's pee pad.
How can I get both of them to be potty-trained?

If I go upstairs, Willow goes upstairs. If I go down, she goes down. Up, down, always she's right there following me. My bf is usually upstairs in his computer room and my daughter doesn't pay much attention to the dog so it is hard for me to go do anything without Willow being underfoot. I've had several dogs but never one this obsessive with being with me.

I have a golden retriever and if you drop anything she picks it up....more so for me than anyone else in the family since she follows me constantly. Do other breeds do this too?

She gave birth to a litter of 8 pups two weeks ago outside and they all died, how long before she goes back into heat? There are already male dogs hanging around.

It's an age-old question for mankind. But what about dogs? When researching a dog breed for a pet, how much importance should I place on breed temperment information? Does it all depend on how the dog is raised? Are genetics important? What is the professional dog breeder's viewpoint?

She was off her food on Tues night and wouldnt eat on Wed morning so I took her to the vet. They said she was fine, I took her back on Friday as she still wasnt eating and they said PARVO. She was throwing up but that has now stopped, has not had the runs. She has been on fluids and in the vets since Friday so this is day 5 of her been sick. She is just flat. Although the vet said she looked happier this morning. What are her chances that she will pull through this? Im really worried and I love her to bits.

I have a 19week collie pup. I have a 2year old cat and she attacked the pup (right eye) tonight and her eye has been watering. The best way for me to describe it is that its like she's been poked in the eye and it was watering. It only happened 20mins ago and my partner at first said that at the outide corner of her eye it looked ***** and red but she's been jumping around and not letting it bother her, and apparently now after 20mins its looking a bit better. I phoned a 24hr vet and they advised phoning a vet's in the morning. She is still squinting her eye but can tfully open it and is jumping about not seeming to be in any pain. What should I do?

I know mastiffs drool a LOT, but he is drooling small puddles. He has had 3 loose stools in the last 24 hours. He is completely vaccinated, and neutered a week ago. His surgery went fine and his incision is not infected, and he is healing on track. He has not had anything out of the ordinary in his diet, that would cause this. he is not acting to be in discomfort, or showing abnormal behaviors.Does anyone have any ideas what it could be, and should I take him to the vet?

In the first 60 years of the 20th century Pit bulls were the most popular family dog. They were called the nanny dog because of how good they were with children. 3 US presidents had them while in the white house. People like Helen Keller and Thomas Edison owned them and they were used as the symbol of bravery and national pride during WW1. What as changed. The biggest change is drugs. With gangs and drug dealers using these dogs and training them to be killing machines and bredding them for the wrong traits. Punish the only thinking ,responable human in this mix will stop most of tthe attacks. Any breed will bite, they are after all wolfs, with all the instinks of the wolf. Never forget from the largest masttiff to the smallest toy breed they all can be killers under the skin. It is up to us the humans to make sure they do not become those monsters of our nighmares.

I currently live an apartment with my cat Ryoma. I am planning on moving to a trailer and have been offered a black lab puppy.
Now my cat's 7 months old and the puppy won't be able to leave it's mother for another 2 or 3 months. The mother hasn't given birth yet.

Would the cat be upset at loosing a lot of the attention? I already know the cat loved playing with dogs. I'm afraid the puppy might be a little rough seeing as it will be so young though.

Does anybody have experience with a similar transition?

Thank you.
