Hi There

I work in the care sector and we have a resident who keeps a dog, the dog keeps barking and this annoys other residents in the complex.

The dog truly is all the woman has in her life and we dont want to have to force her to part with it.

Does anyone know of any good devices or techniwues to stop the barking, the dog is non aggressive, it just barks constantly.

The only time he barks or growls is if someone knocks on our door. I've been trying for 3 years. He has learned a lot of other tricks but the one I want him to do the most. That might be why, I want it too bad and he knows it. My friend, who has his sister, taught her. She even tried to help.

Ok, so my pup of 5 months who's a pug, named princess, loves chew toys. And recently i noticed that whenever she chewed she chewed so hard that there are blood stains in the chew toy and my brother found a piece of Princess's tooth on the couch, and the next day he found another one, I know that princess is a puppy and her teeth will eventually grow but this problem really disturbs me.. Any suggestions? I think that this'll really be a problem if it continues..

I'm planning to get a dog soon. I live on the west coast, and I do a lot of backpacking. I'd like a dog who I can take with me on two to five day trips. The dog needs to be able to carry it's food and such in it's own little backpack. Does anyone have experience with this? What would be the best type of dog? Husky? Malimute? German Shepherd? Something else?
Also, let's pretend that money/house space/yard space isn't an issue. I just want to focus on what sort of dog is best for backpacking (I can take other variables - like personality and such - into account on my own).

i've tried tiring him out before bedtime but that doesnt seem to work well because even if he's sleeping he'll wake up every 2o minutes. the family sleeps in their rooms upstairs, and the puppy sleeps downstairs in the laundry room. he's been here only for a couple days, and every night he barks and whines like its the end of the world. it's keeping the whole house up at night, and once he finally does fall asleep for good, he wakes up at 5 in the morning to bark some more. i be sure to let him go potty before bed, and early in the morning around when he starts barking. so i guess i have 2 problems: how do i get him to sleep better at night without the whole barking fiasco? 2)in the morning after i let him out to do his business and bring him back in, he barks some more. should i ignore the barking if i've already fed him and let do his business? some friends say to let him sleep upstairs in my room, and others say to jsut ignore the barking for another week and he'll stop. help?

I've been with a girl for almost 2 years. I'm sure one day we will be married, but for now, we are living apart. She is constantly hinting that she wants me to move in. The only problem is, i absolutely hate her dog. Her dog is a big lab-mix and is about four years old. This dog never stops barking, or whining. It eats everything, destroys garbages, and wont stop licking me from the moment i get there until the moment i leave. I have a a very lazy, friendly, well trained beagle and am not used to this crazy dog. Should I tell her I hate her dog and thats the only reason I don't want to move in?
