Don't let her walk around too much. Keep her calm so not to injure herself anymore. Wait for 11:30 tomorrow. Hip dysplasia is a very serious genetic disease.

It is doubtful that it is hip dysplasia that is causing the problem. Hip dysplasia usually doesn't come on that quickly. Hip dysplasai progresses slower as a rule.

Some breeds are more prone to hip problems then others but it doesn't mean that all dogs within the breed will get it. Dogs that come from health tested parents and from responsible breeds are far less likely to get it then those frrom no health tested parents and/or from irresponsible breeders.
Unless hip dysplasia is severe it usually doesn't show up until a dog is at least 2 years old. This is why OFA will not certify hips under the age of two.

Could be a simple injury, but could also be a sign of something much more serious. Good choice to see a vet. We had a St Bernard that atarted to limp without having injured herself, and found out she had cancer of the bone at only 14 months old. Treatment was tried with some medication for arthritis at first, but then xrays showed that it was cancer and had already spread from the back leg to the ribs. She was losing weight fast and hurt when she was touched, so we did the only kind thing we could for her, we had her put to sleep. Hopefully your dog just has a minor injury that will heal quickly. Aspirin is safe to give to a dog for pain relief, but never give tylenol, it can kill a dog.

As you already understand Hip Dysplaysia is an inherited situation. Are the dad and mom scored? it relatively is a solid thank you to tell in case your domestic dog is predisposed to it already. Hip Dysplaysia isn't something that comes and is going. it relatively isn't any longer the dysplaysia that reasons the discomfort it relatively is the arthritis that is going alongside with it. it relatively is a relentless, it is going to likely be there and your domestic dog would be in discomfort each and every of the time. Is your breed companies to luxating patella? that ought to be yet another reason for her discomfort, it relatively is not a relentless, this might come and circulate. i might take her for a examine up and discover out the situation. no count if it relatively is Dysplaysia she would be able to choose therapy and the previously the extra effective for a extra tender lifestyles.

I have a golden retriever with a hip problem also, and her paw hurts also. Have you had an xray of her hip and legs? She could have stepped on something outside or it could be related to her hip problem.
