If you're lucky, you may find one at the Humane Society, that's where I found my little Pomeranian. It's not free, but way, way cheaper than from a breeder, plus you're doing a good deed and giving a much needed home to a deserving pet!

I don't know about a Yorkshire in particular, but I know the Michigan Humane Society has a ton of puppies right now. Humane Society of Macomb is great too. Don't buy a dog when there are so many that can be rescued - but also consider the option of adopting a mixed breed puppy or a full-grown animal - they have a lot of love to give and need good homes.

Did you go to the ASPCA/SPCA. Perhaps they have a puppy for you.
