Yes!! i have a chihuahua too. She has been pregnant five times.
so i know. SHe will probably take about 4 to 5 hours in labor. thats how my dog acts and if she is in a hidden place its because she wants to hide her puppies. like protect them. Just keep an eye on her. everything will be fine. Try to keep her in ONE place and not move so much because the puppies could get hurt. If something goes wrong help her and call a vet. Good luck!!

a chihuahua is known for being neurotic, also if they are a one person dog they are more likely to want to have their litter in your lap than anywhere else. if she is hiding and acting nervous, scared, etc and not wanting to eat or drink much, it probably is the case that she has gone into labor. if you have a birthing box set up now is a good time to show it to her and just sit there with her as she births her pups, they are like that. My oldest female will not even think about having her puppies until my mother is there to be with her. she once waited eight hours to have her puppies cause my mother was at work.

Yes, she should be having pups any time now. It is going to be a long night. She needs to be watched carefully, because so many things can go wrong, specially with such a small dog.
