they love you ...your are their master and their will is to obey you they are probably also studying you and they want to be the first to get there if you drop a piece of food on the floor.

You dogs stare at you because you are the pack leader. They are waiting for direction from you. It sounds odd, but you are the leader of that pack and it is their job to know where you are, what the pack is supposed to be doing and to protect you, as their leader. Pretty standard 'dog psychology' stuff.

They stare at you because they want to go play or want to be petted or they want some food. If they beg or whine it is one of those things. Where did you get your dogs? And do you live in Sacramento?

i have ben a 'dog man' kept and trained dogs for a lifetime and had many different dogs that did this. i can only say it seems to be just a habit with them like trying to lick your hands or face.

I read that dogs do this because they learn everything about you by constantly looking at you. You are their world.

I think they are trying to tell you some thing, like, I am hungry, or I want attention, or I want to go out. Now you have to figure out which.

They communicate through their eyes. They think that they're talking to you, just like when we talk to them we think they understand, they think we understand what their stares mean.
