Your cat will be fine plus you have the added bonus of kitten and puppy growing up together which will help the transistion a bunch. Labs are great with cats and as long as they are introduced properly, it will be fine.
WARNING: Lab puppies are very hyper, more than most breeds. They love to jump, lick, etc. Make sure you're going to have the room for the puppy to run (and run and run) because they do require a lot of exercise on a regular basis. The hyperness may also shy your kitten away for a bit at least. They also stay in "puppy mode" for the first 2 years of their lives, have big appetites but gain weight easily so you need to strictly montior food intake and table foods are not recommended for Labs, they are also VERY strong at a very young age. Do shed quite a bit but that can be controlled more with the right diet and grooming.
But those are just the cons of them being puppies. Labs are WONDERFUL dogs, very gentle, smart, loving, and loyal. Great to go fishging or swimming with since they are water dogs. I was fostering 2 Lab puppies and am heart broken that they are no longer here!

Yea I had a cat last year that was 18 years old and I got a pit bull/black lab mix dog and it really just depends on the dog. The dog would play with the cat but just playful playing. There is every now and then the dog would get a little rough and labs are always playful so you would want to keep a good eye on them and for the first at least month you should watch them interact with supervision and just let the dog play and once the dog gets a little rough you might do as I did and smack the dog on the head and tell the dog no and eventually the dog will get the idea of what acceptable playing is. And when you feel comfortable you will be able to leave them together alone.

I think the cat and dog will get along just fine. It may take some time. The cat will put the dog in its place if he is too rough with the cat. I feel that a trailer is too small for a lab. You should try to get a smaller dog. Get a dog from the pound. So many animals need recued. I live in a trailer with 2 cocker spaniels and we recently added an adult cat (a rescue) that has never been with a dog. They are all getting along slowly. They petty much avoid each other. They do not chase or attack each other. I'm sure I will catch them curled up on the couch together one day.

Well guess what... i have a cat and a dog. I got the dog when my cat was 1 years old and they have no problem with each other. I sugesst that you wait untill your cat is older. But see if your cat is familair with dogs I took my cat to someones house, that i know and the dog and cat loved each other. But im not sure if the cat and dog like each other as a species. Also show your cat a picure of a dog, or pet a dog see if your cat likes the scent, and that pet your cat and let a dog sniff the cats scent. That is also how I got my cat to like a dog. So maybe this will help you. Thanks!

Just introduce them slowly. Dont rush it and dont put them together for a long time at first. In the end they will get used to each other. I had a cat that was 1 and then got a Rott puppie and they took a few weeks to get along but they did.

I have a puppy as well as a young cat and after a while both pets get used to each other being around. As long as you still spend time with your cat he/she wont get upset, becasue afterall cats aren't always seeking attention like dogs.

The Cat will be fine as long as you still give her/him attention as well and you can teach the pup not to play to rough with the cat by simple disicipline when it gets to rough with both you and the cat. I have 3 cats and 3 dogs, some times we have pups as well and they get along fine.
