You posted this under pets and dogs. Maybe this is why your parents won't let you date. And don't defy your parents or you will end up like Romeo and Juliet.

just listen to your parents. don't focus on 'getting a boyfriend'. be a kid, play wow or some other video game, have fun. if someday you find a boy that's a friend and that you want to be more than a friend, deal with it then but with your parents consent. you should be open with your parents and respect their rules, after all... they were 16 once too and wanted the same things that you want and now they are just looking out for you and trying to give you the best life that they can give you while helping you make good decisions.
just trust em and don't worry you'll survive til your 18 without a boyfriend

Hello. Are you looking for a dog to be your boyfriend. Try parenting or single and dating. You will get more help with this question. But since I am already here........ No wait till your 18. Study and do sports. You say you want a boyfriend, anybody you know or you'll just pick one out when they say you can. Here's a little scenario You find boyfriend, spend time with him, he wants sex and you don't, he leaves you for some one who is easy. Your heart is broke and now your lonely and crying all the time. Now you can not do your homework or sports because you are so depressed. I think the old folks are right but if you want all this to happen to you go for IT.

I know when you're 16 you're supposed to hate your parents and stuff, but you'll find that it's better to just talk to them about things. I remember I was 17 after I graduated and I still had a midnight curfew, even though I was going to be going away to college where I would have NO curfew. So I talked to them and explained why I felt I should have no curfew, etc, and we compromised extending it later until 2, or my best judgement. By the way, high school relationships aren't all they're cracked up to be, you should probably stay single and enjoy it.

When I was sixteen, I had an older boyfriend that my parents liked. He approached them and asked their permission to see me. It was annoying at first, only being able to see him with parental supervision. Eventually they relaxed some and became to trust us more. If you find a guy that you really like and he is willing to approach your parents they might go for it. If he is really a respectable person, he won't have a problem stepping up and asking them. Another suggestion if that doesn't work, ask if you can invite him to dinner with the "fam" or something where they can still feel in control. Good Luck!

nicely, it extremely relies upon on the way you experience relating to the guy. once you're in it purely for the relationship then perhaps it incredibly is not well worth it. If he's an particularly stunning guy then perhaps you're able to attempt warming the belief up on your mum and dad. perhaps have some pals' mum and dad enable yours understand that it's not a huge deal and it incredibly is not probable that severe (because of the fact it incredibly is no longer in middle college).

I beg you, please trust and obey your parents. They love you very much and would never try to hurt you. Their decision may seem unfair but they are doing what they think is best for you. You have to trust their knowledge and experience. Life is too short to be angry, lie and disobey. Your parents will be so proud if you stick to this decision as it will show you are a sensible, responsible young adult! They might even lower the age a little!

Love and best wishes to you and your parents.

You have your whole life ahead of you, don't get wrapped up in that boyfriend crap. There are far better things to do. Dating is not all it's cracked up to be. Besides, at that age, boys are way too immature.
