Puppies are usually born about 63 days after mating. Besides the temperature, watch for her to stop eating. She will show no interest in food for about 24 hours prior to giving birth. She will start licking at her vulva and you may see contractions in her stomach. She will be uneasy and shaking. She will often lay down and start panting. This can last for more than a day, but is a good sign puppies are imminent.
