I read this is a sign of needing anal glands squeezed. She has all of her shots and is dewormed, so I don't think it's worms. She goes to the groomer about every 6 weeks, don't they squeeze them there? How often does it need done? She scoots on carpet about 2-3 times a week, not very often, so I'm not sure if that's even the problem... any thoughts?

It just so happens that both my son and dog are vomiting this morning, and they both came out of nowhere. My dog had gotten ahold of some puppy food yesterday, so I'm not sure if that has caused it, but I was just curious.

I have lots of time to play with the dog and take it out and give it all the attention that it wants, but is it still a bad idea?

People who intentionally mix breeds & claim they are creating a 'designer dog' to line their pockets (thus sentencing mixes in shelters to euthanasia due to lack of homes), or people who breed CKC/APRI/APR etc. 'registered purebreds'?

I have an English setter female; she is 11. My 2 male puppies constantly try to lick her face, especially her chops....every time they see her they run up & start to lick her face, which she does not like at all...... Is this their way of showing their "respect" for her, establishing the pecking order, so to speak.... we cannot break them of this..... they just will not leave her alone. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi everyone. I could use a little help here if you please. See my jack russel had puppies on Jan 24th of this year. The puppies are now 3 1/2 weeks old and they act like they aren't getting full anymore from just there mom. I had researched a little after they were born about when to start feeding them. This one article I read from this guy who breeds jack russels said three weeks old and he gave a reciepe for puppy mush. Well I thought that I had bookmarked this web page on the computer. Turned out that I didn't. So now I have no idea how to mix this stuff up for the puppies. And can't find the page?

So what I am asking from all you smart people out there is this do any of you know a reciepe for puppie mush? Or do any of you have any suggestions at all on what I should start feeding them? I'm new to this puppy stuff and this will be my dogs only litter. I just want to make sure that these puppies are happy, healthy and full until they go to there new homes. Please help me! Thanks!!

It has been 24 hours since my Bichon Frise ate two of the purple "Flent" brand of ear plugs. They are like memory foam, when you squeeze them they are flat and then expand to fit your ear. He has had a bowel movement but no earplugs, but last night we was crying and his stomach was real hard. It lasted for about 10 minutes and stopped. He has not eaten this morning and no more pain has appeared. What should I do?

It seems every 5th question on here EVERY DAY is "What is my dog?" and then a description & link to photos. Why the quest to know when they then will brag their mix is better? People, it is fine to have a mixed breed (if rescued from a shelter, etc), it is fine to have a purebred (if well-bred from a reputable breeder) - why the defensive controversy all the time on here???

It's sub zero outside, I am in a warm bed. Jack the Cocker spaniel is going to wake up in 5 min and want to go out. I live on the 50th floor. Your answers in the next 20 min will determine if I get out of bed and take the dirtbag out or he goes on the floor.
