My puppy Lexi is very sick. I posted a few days ago and everyone seemed to think it was parvo. She tested negative for parvo, and she has been at the vet clinic for two days. They have a drip in her but they dont know what is wrong with her. She hasn't eaten in about four days. She was dry-heaving and vomiting bile and foam. Everytime she drinks water she vomits. She also has diarrea. I know it sounds like parvo but it isn't. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

We're due to have a baby in July (our 1st) and we're wondering on the safest method to introduce our 3 yr. old male pit bull to the newborn?
Until now, Rosko has been the baby and I'm concerned a little about jealousy or posession issues. He's people-friendly, but with relatively no exposure to children or babies. He's also pretty high-energy (you know... pit bull and all that) and I worry a little about accidental injuries.
Has anyone done this before, and if so, what worked best for you?
I intend to keep the dog seperated from the baby as much as possible, but it'd be nice to include the dog in our addition rather than shun him.
(Please no nasty pit bull comments.)

I've seen these collars at the dog store for unruly dogs. I guess they come with remotes and allows you to "zap" the dog when he's misbehaving. Never saw anything like it before.

if the tip of the nail can be seen on the other side of the hole that you stuck the nail through, will the trimmers just cut off what is all the way through the hole?

A month ago I bought a female black/tan mini pinscher, Daisy. She was born September 25, 2006 and is now almost 5 months old. There is almost 12 inches from her neck to the end of hair tail. I wanted to know, how much should she weigh? Thanks.

He listens very well until I let him outside. Then he ignores me. I feel like I've tried every technique. What's worked the best for you?

I was with her the entire day and nothing happend to it that i saw. Shes an indoor dog and no one was here to have shut it in a door or anything but i do have 2 cats that play rough with her. Today another dog went to sniff her back end and she yelped just a little. The vet isnt open today or I'd take her in. I checked her tail out and its definatley about four inches from the bottom of her tail thats bothering her. I dont feel a break and she has no problem sitting on it but se isnt wagging it at all. I'm worried the vet. may want to cutthe tip of her tail off! Can they set it? Can it heal without being amputated? I'm also worried that one of the cats may have scratched her and it got infected. I'm taking her to the vet monday morning but until then i don't want her to get sick from it, if that can happen.. anyone know anything i can do in the mean time to help?

I'm baffled by Ruby's odd behaviour. lol If you stroke her or pay her attention, she looks you straight in the eye then will bump her mum into the sofa or your legs. She will also sit down with her back against a foot stool and raise her bottom to bump the foot stool. It's all very odd, but very funny. However, I'd love to know why she does it. Thanks

In the show "love inc.", there is an episode that the black chick meets her real father, and the white chick wants to date the vetrinarian. but the thing is the chick hates animals, so her friend brings over a dog to help with her problem. but what type of dog is this? i think i might be like a labrador/hound mix, but im not sure.

So I know that dogs eatting grass usually - and most commonly - means some sort of digestive upset. We've tryed several foods, tryed adding probiotics. Nothing has really changed how much/how often she eats grass. Is this just something she's going to do? Should we try and anti-acid? If so, can dogs have anti-acids such as Maalox, just to see if that'd help, (we do give Maalox to our horses for the same reason, then, if it helps, we get the right kind)? Or do you need to get one specially formulated for dogs right off the bat? When we talked to the vet they just said "oh just try different foods and then come back." I'd prefer to find/try a more homeopathic/home remedy first than take her in and put her on prescription chemicals! Thanks for the help!

i found my jack russell terrier chewing on a dead mouse. he found it under the steps of my deck and at first he was barking at something under the steps but i didnt really care because he barks at everything. i dont know if he killed it or just found it dead but the mouse was really battered and looked like it had fresh blood. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

5 Months old. Throws up spit. Lathargic. Licks like she has peanut butter on roof of mouth, bites paws like something is stuck. Yessterday i was feeling around her mouth and a baby molar popped out. Last night she ate and drank even some crunchy bits. Today she just wants to cuddle. We live 100 miles from nearest vet & curcuit vet is not due for 2 weeks.
