My two previous Yorkies used to do this when they had eaten one of those green dog chews - you know the ones, looks like compressed dried meat, very messy but extremely tasty to dogs! I wouldn't worry too much unless your dog starts to become sick or constipated.

horse manure as well as other feces can. HOWEVER what color is the poop? If it is a bright neon green that doesn't seem like the color can occur in nature than you need to check around you house to see if there is any rat bait out that the dog could have gotten into... The dye in the bait will make the feces bright green. If there is a chance that the dog could have gotten into bait than I would recommend getting to dog to a vet or emergency vet as quickly as possible. Especially if the dog is acting lethargic or is vomiting or is starting to have diarrhea. The vet will be able to give an antidote. But is has to be given quickly.

Usually eating something green. My dogs always get green feces after eating greenies, or any other green dog chew. If your dog has not eating anything green, or is vomiting, you need to call your vet.

Hi. my pet Retriever was attacked with another dog round the neck and face, the vet pumped lots of antibiotics into him two days
later his face went green,I rang the vet and had to take him back, they shaved his face to see what was under the fur,of course the green
went away but it took ages and alot of money
to get him well again.

Usually eating horse manure.

I know of 3 Great Danes who do it, and they all get green faeces.

Grass wont do it, that only makes them sick.

In humans it's usually from too much iron or from spinach.

What has your dog been eating?
