I have a 3 month old mini-dach that my husband and I are house training. She's been doing fine up until this past month. We take her out to the same spot, praise her the same way, give her a treat and bring her back in. Lately she only goes for my husband, I will take her out and stand outside with her, encouraging her to go, for 10 to 15 minutes. When I bring her back in, she will automatically go to her crate and go there. I am not getting where this sudden obnoxiousness is coming from. Is she testing my authority? Am I doing something wrong, I even had my husband go out with me, to make sure I was doing the same thing. I'm confused and annoyed, will she grow out of this and what do i do til then?

It was snowing (a lot) and I took her for a walk. She loves the fresh snow and while walking along I noticed that she had her entire head buried in the snow but she kept on walking.

She is probly around 1 1/2 years old,and is EXTREEMLY smart,she knows the basic tricks-and i would like to enter her in obediance classes,but for fun untill then i want to teach her how to play frizbee,i tried once but she chased it but didnt pick it up or bring it back!Thanks for your help,

ok here is the story my dog was a beautiful black lab then she got sick and the diognosed her with diabeties we had to give her insulin 2 times a day then she became blind becuase of the diabetes then one night my mom let her out and she went to the bathroom and she was just running around then my mom went to check on her and she was find the next minute my mom heard a cars wheel scrch and she looked out and she saw my dog jenna sitting in the middle of the road looking strait at my mom it was so sad. then my dad toke her to the pet hospital and they had to put her to sleep because she had a broken hip 2 broken legs and internal bleedin the vet said that she would never make it if we tryed. so then after that they put her in a body bag and my dad toke her home and buried her in the back yeard. now every day i have to look at her grave i just dont now how to get over it becasue
i keep on having flash backs of her in the middle of the street and probly saying to me natalie help me

i have a puppy that is 7 weeks old she is doing pretty good with her potty training all though i find myself watching her every move constantly taking her out to see if she has to poo its wearing me out my first pup in the house i guess i dont know how to really schedule her i do know she goes after she eats and first thing in the morning but how often in between is unpredictable she is good at using the pee pee pad but now when she plays i guess the exciment she pees on the floor will this all get better in time

My dog was laying down and my kid ran over his tell with a fisher price mower. My dog yiped and hid for a while. now her tail is between her legs. its been there for a couple hours and her tails still there. i tried to touch it but she yipped at me. you think its broke? should i give it a day? the vet is closed. shes 4 years old is she told old to have the tail removed if it has to be done?

Its a beagle/cocker spaniel. It has white fur with black spots on its ear and around one of its eyes. Its a boy.

These are some names I don't like: Oreo, Cow(my friend made it up)

Please don't pick like ordinary names like: Sam, Max, John. I want a DOG name not a persons name.

My husband and I rescue animals and these two little brothers had 30 minutes left before they were to be put to sleep....so I took them home with me! They were so sad! I swear they were crying real tears and scared to death!!!
I'm thinking they look like a boxer / pit bull mix.
They weigh about 6 pounds a piece and are about 9 weeks old.
What do ya'll think?

I live in regina, saskatchewan, canada and i would love to adopt a great dane and i have been desperately looking for a great dane rescue somewhere close by but i cant seem to find one. The closest one I can find is in British Columbia. Anyone know of one in saskatchewan?

I have a six month old puppy that has had two rounds of vaccinations. My roommates adopted an eight week old puppy from an animal shelter 5 days ago. It has been sick the past two days so they took it to the vet and found out it has parvo. As of now, I don't know many details as to how bad off the puppy is or if they may have to put it to sleep. I know to disinfect everything with bleach water, but I am worried about my 6 mo old pup. Can she still catch the virus despite the vaccinations? What additional precautions should I take to protect her?

.. but what if i say my dog is about 6 inch tall and about 1 1/2 feet wide because its a chihuahua mix with a dachsund and that their dog is about 6X bigger den our dog and their dog actually try to attack us everytime we go by their house, and what if i say that they threw our dog sumthing and hit out dog with our dog not on their lawn, like on the street, i cant believe some people are against me by not saying its dog abuse, he just dont have the rights to throw sumthing at that kind of size
