If you have properly trained the dog not to be dog-aggressive, then most any dog would be compatable. If your dog is very active and likes to rough-house when it plays, you would want a dog big enough to keep up with that kind of play.

If you've been neglectful of proper training, as some people are, and your dog is aggressive, then it won't be compatable with any other dog.

If you are able to provide good, consistent leadership, training and care to the dogs in your care, a Pit Bull will be compatible with just about any dog. We have Pit Bulls here at our shelter and they stay in common rooms with other dogs throughout the day without an issue.

As I'm typing this, I have a Pit Bull in the room with me, 2 Chihuahuas, a Foxhound,a mini Schnauzer and a Boxer mix...

You have be careful, though, when "play" starts. Pit Bulls are very "physical" when they play and some of the other dogs don't appreciate being body slammed or head-butted. We make sure the dogs are supervised when they're together and that rough-housing is stopped immediately so everyone stays safe.

I would check with your local animal shelter or an obedience training schol or even a breeder of pitbulls.
Whatever you do, do your homework b4 you decide to put any dog with a pitbull.
I was told by my aunt, that my cousin has a Pitbull along with another breed but I cannot remember the other breed, I wanna say Boston Terrier, but i'm not sure, anyway, the Pitbull went on the attack after the other dog, doing some major damage to it. When all was said and done. She had blood all over the walls trying to tear them apart. Thank goodness her sister was there with her.
Oh I guess the pitbull was done with his bone and want the other dogs bone, and went for it. Needless to say, it wasn't a happy scene.

better question would be what human is compatible with a pitbull. Personally pick a better dog, pitbulls are very untrustworthy dogs.
