I have a pair of shih-tzu's and I firmly believe that it is morally impossible to house break them! I have tried everything. I leave them in the back yard for hours and they still do it in the house. They eat it quickly when they do it in the house. We tried putting hot sauce on it, and that works, when we can catch them before hand. Is getting rid of them my only hope??

I took my 3 month old puppy, Blossom, to get her rabies, DHLP, and Parvo/Corna vaccines yesterday afternoon at 3:00 pm. Later in the evening she would yelp in pain when I picked her up and she is also very listless and doesn't have much of an appetite. She is still yelping when I pick her up and I'm doing it very carefully. I'm assuming it's the injection site where she's hurting but could it be that these vaccines are making her feel ill as well? If so, when should she be back to her non-stop chewing, fisty little pig-let self again? It's been a while since I've had a little one and I've forgotten the symptoms. Please advise....

My maltese was spayed yesterday and came home around 7:00pm last night. The doctor told her no food or water until the next day, which is today. She has been drinking a lot of water and eating fine but has only peed once and hasnt pooped at all. Is this normal? Is there anything I should be concerned about with this??

She has red gums and they bleed easily. Is there a product that I can put in her water or food to help her? She has no problem chewing and when I had her teeth cleaned last fall, they said there were no loose teeth.

She gets a shower every week because she is a Pet Therapy Dog and works in the hospital. I try not to get water in her ear but maybe that could cause the tar like stuff. She shakes her head a lot. What can I use after a shower to dry out the ears?

I have tried to breed my 8 year old ***** in her younger years and she has never took. Now she is ready and willing and Iam not sure if it is safe for her to have a litter at her age. She loved all the pups of my other dogs litters and is a great nanny to them. She is healthy, fit and has alot of energy. She is a very pretty cocker spaniel and I have always wanted her to have a litter. Only if it is SAFE

I have a hyper, just spayed, 1 year old golden retriever, and whenever someone comes over to our house, she jumps up on the person because she is so excited. One time, she knocked my little 5 year old cousin over, and by the time I tell her no, it's too late. Also, when she hears skateboarders pass by, she barks at them, and doesn't stop until she doesn't hear them anymore. I tell her no also, but again, it's too late. What should I do to correct these problems?

I have a beagle pup (4 months) and we have received an informal complaint about his barking and yelps early in the morning (0500-0600) Searched the net and have found two types, the slight shock ones when the dog barks or the high pitched sound that only dogs can hear. Anyone got any advice on either? I would prefer not to use anything, but with both my wife and I working full time I don't want to upset the neighbours. Apart from the early morning barks he is perfect. Thanks in advance
