After dog spaying?

My maltese was spayed yesterday and came home around 7:00pm last night. The doctor told her no food or water until the next day, which is today. She has been drinking a lot of water and eating fine but has only peed once and hasnt pooped at all. Is this normal? Is there anything I should be concerned about with this??

I have had many dogs myself and this sounds a bit weird to me. I would definately take her back to the vet that spayed her and talk to him/her about the problems that you have encountered. If this vet does not give you answers to satisify you questions, then I would take the dog to another vet and get some satisfactory answers.
