what can i do for now no $$ for vet and what can i put on the wounds

There is nothing you can do. Dog bites carry a lot of germs and, because they generally are puncture wounds, you cannot clean them out. That, alone, is setting your dog up for infection.

A broken jaw is **incredible** PAIN (i've had one; i know). Not only is the broken bone, itself, pain, but trying to drink or eat or yawn or sneeze is sheer agony.

Please do as the other answerers have suggested: go to the vet NOW. Work out a payment plan. Call the ASPCA; they might even treat the dog for low or no cost. Call an Animal Control Officer ~ they might have an idea for you.

But, please, don't stay on here waiting for a miracle answer. There isn't one. Get the dog to a vet ... IMMEDIATELY .... please!

how do you know your dogs jaw is broke, i am sorry but let me ask you this ( i do not want to sound ugly ) you do not have $$$
to get your dog treatment/vet, i would find a way no matter what lots of vets do arrange payment plans, i can only hope you will do
the right thing by taking your poor dog to get the treatment he/she
deserves. if the jaw is broken it must be taken care of, i am not very well off money wise, but if something like this would happen to one of my dogs i'll find a way to pay for the vet, how do you think feels your dog, he/she must be in pain, the bite wounds could infect, how do you know if the other dog did not have rabies
what about the owner of the other dog? please make it happen & take your dog to a vet, i cannot believe there wouldn't be a vet who would work with you on a payment plan

You have no other option but to take it to get medical treatment. People go to the emergency room all the time when they are broke. Find an emergency vet asap, and take your dog in. They will more than likely work with you on the bill. It is unfair that your dog was even in a situation to have this happen to it, and it is even worse if you do not take care of the animal properly.
--If it really has a broken jaw, it needs medical attention....NOW.

This is a very difficult subject to answer. You can clean the wounds with peroxide - alcohol will sting too much. Keep an eye on the wounds that they don't abscess - close over and form a pocket of pus and infection. See if you can borrow money from a close friend or family member to get him/her seen about the jaw. It will be very difficult to eat if it is not wired to heal. Good luck.

Please take the dog to the SPCA. Your dog has a broken jaw and no doubt the wounds are pretty bad. Think about what you are saying. Your dog is in pain. He needs help now. I am sorry you don't have the money and that there aren't clinics for animals that people who don't have much money can get low cost care.
But the dog shouldn't suffer as painful as it may be for you to not keep him.

Take that poor dog to an emergency vet or walk in clinic asp. You can work out a payment plan later or surrender the dog. Sometimes they will try to save a dog and then adopt it out. Your first concern should be for the well being of your dog. You can not take care of injuries that serious at home. Go now!

If you can't afford a vet then you shouldn't have a dog. Suck it up and take it to the vet...you can figure out how to pay for it later. Quit with the loser excuses...the dog is a living thing.

It would be extremely unfair of you to keep it in pain. Take it to the vet, and maybe you'll get financial support by an organization. Good Luck! Hope it feels better.

i hate to be like this, but tough sh*t! your dog is injured, and can't eat with a broken jaw! you need to take it to the vet, money or no money! a responsible pet owner takes care of their animal. take a credit card out at the vet! borrow money. i had to take a credit card out when our puppy got sick. or else take it to the vet, and let them heal it, then they will find it a home.

Take it to the vet asap. They will work with you for the money. Or if that is not an opition, if its in pain, have it put down for the humane sake of the animal.
