I totally agree with you, I mean my landlord is being totally wrong, he says i can't have a dog, but the caretaker has one, If i was informed of this before, that would have been great, Can you train dogs to use a litter box, and if so how would i go about start training her to do so. That would be much easier. I dunno, I am just stressed about the situation, I mean i love her to death, but i mean I don't want to confuse her by moving he constantly around. It is so frustrating. I'm worried for her well being.

Today is Feb. 17th - so Valentine's Day was just a few days ago. You can hardly expect your puppy to be trained or even truly learning anything in just a few days! Dog training requires time and patience. Even master trainers will take weeks with a dog - and that's training for hours and hours a day, every day (I know because I sent my dogs to such a trainer).

If she is 8 months, hopefully she has the basics down: housetraining, sit, down and off. If not, this is where you need to start. As was suggested already, do not scold or yell at her. If she makes a mess in the house, do NOT rub her nose in it. Unless you catch her in the act of going, post-training doesn't work. All she'll learn is to go in a place when you can't see it. Catch her in the act, say a loud "No!" (don't scream, but give a firm command) and quickly rush her outside. Once she goes, praise her as if she discovered a cure for cancer. This way, the dog associates going outside as good, going inside as bad. You, as the "alpha" want her to know what's allowed and what isn't. Yelling, hitting, screaming, scolding, kicking, etc. - they do nothing. I've got more out of a stern stare at my dog than any loud voice. Why? Because a stern stare tells my dog I don't approve.

This is the general rule of thumb for all training. Catch her in the act, correct and praise. Have treats nearby (something quick and easy to eat, like some kibble or a small bit of cheese). And repeat, repeat, repeat. To catch her attention, get an empty can and fill it with about 20 pennies. Seal the can. Whenever she does something you don't approve of, like jumping, barking, going on furniture, etc., give the can one quick shake. The can simulates the bark of an alpha dog. It's to let her know to "stop it now!" Do NOT rattle the can - just one shake. If necessary, you can even toss the can at her feet (do NOT hit her). The goal is to make a noise. Once she's scared, go to her, correct her behavior and then say things like, "awww... when you did that, you heard a mean noise with the can... come to mommy." Yes, it's corny, but the goal is for your dog to associate some behavior with a loud, disapproving noise and her subsequent good behavior with lots of attention from you. This is the technique my trainer and I use and it works fabulously. Now, sometimes all I have to do is lift the can and my dogs stop their behavior. They hear the subtle rattle of coins and immediately stop doing what they were doing.

Given your moving situation, you may just have to wait until March to start. She'll survive until then. I highly suggest you overly reward your kind friends who are caring for her until then. But you can have them start on some of these as well.

In the future, tell your significant other that a pet as a present is best when all parties approve and that it is feasible in the current living arrangements. Too often, people give puppies, kittens, ducks, rabbits, etc. as gifts only to toss them aside as they age. To me, this is quite cruel - give the poor animal a chance and a good home (with food, shelter, exercise, medicine, training, love and attention).

I do not suppose it can be a just right concept leaving the dog on my own within the yard, specifically with out being knowledgeable for a even as and that i imply a just right while. The puppy might dig underneath the fence or get stolen. Possibly a crate would be a good choice if you're afraid the dog would bite up your condo but you continue to wanna leave him within; but don't forget in the event you train him well he will study that he's not purported to chunk on stuff. Doggies bladders are smaller on the grounds that they have not developed thoroughly of course, so that implies they must go to the lavatory more normally than an adult canine so believe about it, if you are gonna be long gone for eight hours a day 5 a week then you definitely have got to be certain someone takes them out or you can have a nasty mess whilst you get home plus it would be animal cruelty leaving them in for see you later with out potty breaks. Would these breeds get alongside? All of it is dependent upon the dog, every dog has its own personality and it also spends so much on the best way you train them. Have persistence and give them quite a few love, suppose me no person will love you more than a canine, they're the only ones that love you greater than they love themselves.

Find what motivates your dog. Some dogs do anything for food. Some dogs do anything for Toys. Some do anything for a good petting. Some do anything for only one type of food, like cheese, or hotdog. Some only have interest in training for 5 minutes at a time, and others can go for an hour. Figure out what your dog is willing to work for, and then work with her in sessions that are no longer than she can tolerate. How to train your dog properly https://tr.im/6ljiI

Sign up for a dog obedience training class. It will not train your dog. It will give you training on how you can train your dog. Most people understand the idea of training, but there is a right and a wrong way to do it, and there is good and bad technique. Timing and consistency is very important, and it helps to have feedback of someone watching you who can help you improve your technique to get more efficient results with your dog.

However, she may be somewhat anxious around other dogs, sort of like the shy kid on the playground. She will benefit from continuing what you are doing as far as asking her to sit before entering, but there are more things along those lines that will help her to calmly go in and out of the dog park. She may also benefit from going in short bursts, or only when fewer dogs are present, or avoiding times when other dogs that make her nervous are present. Maybe she just plays loud - my brother's dog is this way - or maybe she is a dogpark bully - sorry it is possible. But more likely she is just a little anxious around new dogs and she wants to play but just doesn't quite know how to do that and still feel comfortable. Don't be surprised if your dog does not actually like the dog park, and maybe she would get more enjoyment and less stress out of simply going for a good walk somewhere else.

A wagging tail does not mean that your dog is happy or even comfortable with the situation. It means your dog is emotionally aroused. This could be a happy arousal, or it could be a nervous arousal, or it could be an aggressive arousal. Go youtube it, there are plenty of videos of 'vicious' dogs who are throwing a very aggressive fit of barking and snarling while their tail is wagging vigorously. Even police dogs who are not let off the leash to chase down a suspect can be lunging and barking and snarling, and their tails are still going.

Correction words. What "No" means -- to stop what he's doing when you say "No!" or "Ah-ah!" or "Stop that."

Praise words. What "Good" means -- to wag his tail and look happy when you say "Good!" or "YAY!" (Puppies especially love the sound of "Yay!")

Crate training. To stay quietly in his crate at night when he goes to sleep - and during the day whenever we're not interacting with him.

Housebreaking. You should immediately introduce him to his bathroom spot, but a puppy of 2-3 months old is still an infant, so it will be several months before his internal organs are developed enough for reliability. Toy breeds and hound breeds are especially slow to housebreak, with many not being reliable until eight to ten months of age.

Acceptance of being handled. Teach him what a grooming table is, and introduce the grooming positions of "Sit" and "Stand" and "Open your mouth" while you handle him all over, brush his coat, brush his teeth, and clip his nails.

Food words. "Hungry," "Supper", "Breakfast", "Biscuit".

To take things gently from your hand. "Easy!" No grabbing.

i do no longer think of it relatively is a robust theory leaving the puppy on my own in the backyard, particularly without being knowledgeable for a on a similar time as and that i advise a solid on a similar time as. the puppy ought to dig below the fence or get stolen. in line with danger a crate could be a solid determination while you're afraid the puppy might chew up your place yet you nevertheless wanna go away him interior; yet remember in case you prepare him properly he will learn that he isn't meant to chew on stuff. domestic canines bladders are smaller considering that they have not stepped forward thoroughly of direction, so as meaning they might desire to bypass to the bathing room extra regularly than an person dogs so think of roughly it, while you're gonna be long previous for 8 hours an afternoon 5 a week then you definately might desire to confirm somebody takes them out or you would be wanting a bad mess once you get abode plus it would be animal cruelty leaving them in for for this reason long without potty breaks. might those breeds get alongside? it easily relies upon on the dogs, each and every dogs has its very own character and it additionally spends lots on the type you prepare them. Have endurance and supply them a large type of love, have self belief me no person will love you extra beneficial than a dogs, they're the only ones that love you extra beneficial than they love themselves.

If your life is too busy to train a puppy, why did you get one? Also you should have looked into the breed before you got her.
