All dogs need bathing once in a while. If you mean what do clean his genital area with because he is an intact male, dogs really don't mind being bathed, just use a mild dog shampoo lather all over his body including his "intactness" rinse and dry, in between baths use a spray called Miracle Coat all over his body-don't get into the eyes-it deodorizes the dog and makes his coat nice and shiny. If your dog really smells he might have a skin condition-you should discuss that with the vet.

Bathing shouldn't be off limits just because your male is intact. If you do not have accomodations to do this yourself and do not want to take him somewhere to a groomer, there are mobile pet groomers who will come to you and give your dog a bath etc. Just look in your local yellow pages to see if there are any in your area. Cloud Star, the maker of Buddy Bisquits makes a rich lathering/good smelling shampoo called Buddy Shampoo. It uses all natural ingredients including lavendar and mint to help the dog stay smelling fresh and clean longer. They also have a wonderful spray on spritzer splash to use in-between baths. Their website is www.cloudstar.com if you want to check them out. Good luck!

I have an 8 year old Dobie male. What is the problem bathing him? Works great for mine. There are waterless bathing lotions you could try. I would have to know why he smells badly. Mine just smells like a dog.

If you have had this dog since he was a pup and never bathed him I'm sure he will give you a hard time. If you can bath him I use oatmeal/ tree tea shampoo found at the pet store. They also sell a spray on shampoo that you simply just brush out. Good luck and great choice of dogs!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, what does being intact have to do with it? You can have him bathed at a groomer if you can't handle it, but food is a big thing too. Many dogs smell doggy or like Fritos if they get foods with corn and wheat in it. Foods without corn, wheat, soy, sorghum, etc will help, such as Chicken Soup, Innova, Canidae, Wellness, Dick van Patten's Natural Balance, etc.

what do you mean by bathing is off limits? don't tell me he never gets a bath, & what do you mean by he's an intact male? if it means he's not neutered then i still don't understand why he's not being bathed. male dogs have often a certain odor to them as longs as they haven't been neutered, but some dogs, male or female smell cause they have ear infections. how long do you have your dog? did he just recently start smelling, explain further please.....meanwhile i suggest you give him a good bath, or take him to a groomer if you do not want to do it yourself

Did you're taking him to the vet for a examine-up? Has there been any differences in his environment at present? at times cats substitute their behaviour simply by stress or ailment. If he's healthful and has basically taken up a bad habit, there are various issues you're able to do to break him off this. My first concept is that even despite if it relatively is gigantic, one muddle container isn't that lots for 3 cats no count how lots you sparkling it. Do you have area for yet another muddle container? it relatively is a known length one. yet another element is shop him far off from the grimy laundry basket. at times previous, human sweat can faintly mimic cat pee, which will make the cat bypass there in the 1st place - and then it turns right into a habit. I had one cat who did this at one factor. you do no longer might desire to maintain him far off from the laundry perpetually, basically till he forgets it relatively is a "pee spot" (my laundry pee-er is now 13 years previous and has saved to his muddle container for the previous 11 years). sparkling the tub with a cleanser that removes organic and organic scent and rinse thoroughly. If obtainable shop the cat out of the bathing room (back purely till he forgets approximately it being a "pee spot") or positioned some thing in the tub it relatively is uncomfortable for him to step on. maximum suitable of high quality fortune with him.
