Chihuahua's are the smallest dog breed in the world. Your first awnser said yorkies are the smallest which is not true. I have a 2.5 lb full grown long haired chihuahua. They aren't the nicest dogs though they can be kinda snappy. Miniature dashunds, toy poodles, toy fox terriers, anything that is miniature or toy stays pretty small.

And the sizes are:
Teacup: 4 pound - less
Toy: 4 - 20 pounds
Medium: 20-50 pounds

Mostly chihuahuas.
some chihuahuas can be only half a pound and thats as big as they would get. They are very small and can be very expensive. About to 2 thousand dollars. they cost so much for their smallness. Some can even fit into a tea cup.

Search toy breeds in google. There are plenty of small dogs. Oh and theres no such thing as teacup.
