It depends on the color and where you are located. In my area, rough blue merles are the most expensive and you can get an AKC female with breeding rights for $600. Just be sure if you get a merle that it did not come from both merle parents. Breeding two merles causes a double recessive trait that causes deafness and blindness in the puppy (called "lethal whites"). No reputable breeder would breed two merles together, but I though that I should add it.

I breed Rough Coat Collies; my asking price is $350 for males and $400.00 for females
But that is what I ask, you may want to look at
http://www.puppydogweb.com you will find breeders in your area or near your area.
Each breeder askes for different prices this is due to the animals pedigree

around my area its $500-$700! But we're in hick-ville and everyone around us sells mixie dogs for upwards of $100 cuz no one knows the difference.

I would say $500 for males and $550 for felames, or $575.....

Thats my opinion, at least.

Instead of spending a lot of moneyon a dog, adopt a dog from dog shelters and in this way you will help the community.
