western people talk and practise a lot about hygiene and cleanliness.yes it is good to be very clean in our eating and whatever we do.but it looks odd when i see people with plastic **** bags collecting shits when they take their pets out.but it is funny they spend lot of time chatting with friends, family members etc all the time with the **** bags.is it not necessary once the **** is collected to return home and clean themselves

We have a part chihuahua/pekingese female. She is reddish-tan, floppy ears that lay down, folded on her head and the cutest curly tail like a piglet. She has short hair, a long slender body and is bigger than a chihuahua. I saw that they call our dog, a designer breed, now named "Cheeks". Do others have a cheeks and are they in love with their little designer dog?

My ex neighbors had many dogs and one would never let the owners pet it, nor come to them. Since I love dogs so much I fed it sometimes and when they moved I told them I would take care of him. I tried everything to get him to come to me but he would'nt. He's never been vicious and wags his tail. He will come within a certain distance to me but not all the way. Oneday new neighbors moved next door and my dog dug up their flowers. They called animal control and warned me to contain him or face a fine. I explained the situation and they let me use a dog trap. For 4 days he never went in the trap. Animal control came back and retrieved the trap. Two of them encouraged me to shoot him. I was shocked and asked if they could tranquilize my dog and was told no. Later I tried many times but they never have traps available to lend. I tried some pills the vet gave me that only slowed him down but I still couldn't grab him. I need him contained asap and don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

We have 4 inside cats and a Beage/Husky mix that is ours. The other foster dog we have is an Akita mix. Our backyard has 7 ft fence so plenty inside/outside time for all.To get Rott settled we have:introduced to other dogs seperateley with all on leashes, got him own bowls, crate and bed, love on him and reassure him.He is doing great and is a gentle giant. Vet says is tall for Rott currently weighs 90Lbs vet wld like to see 5-7 more lbs on him.Said high protein food for lrg. breed good, said ask around but recommended Science Hill, Any suggestions? Anyone have a big dog that has a fave toy? If so, what? Afraid to give him any of the toys we already have-too little. Also, our dog trainer is working with us coming by daily. And Rott's been wormed, neg for heartworms and on prevention, shots up to date and will be neutered in 2 weeks. Can nybody think anything we have overlooked? Thanks

I just need some clarification on something. If i was to buy a "purebred" dog, with a copy of the parents papers my dog would not have its own papers unless the breeder was registered?

I am moving from my parents house to my own apartment in April. I adopted a Jack Russell in July. He's a great dog, but he's a little neurotic and kind of clingy.

Fortunatly, there's not doubt that I'm his favorite person and will have pretty much all of the same furniture, but I'm afraid it's going to be a big change in lifestyle for him.

As it is now, he isn't kenneled while I'm at work. Should I change that in the new place? He really hates it, and he's very well behaved.

Do you have any tips to make the move easier for him.

I also have a Westie... but I doubt she'll even notice we're somewhere different, ha! She's very laid back.

He does not eat much and in recents days seems to have the shacking spells more often. When he starts to shack his body seems to be having a seizure because he shacks and stiffens in the position that he is currently in. Cant afford to take him to vet, we found him and he looks to e a puppy 8-10 weeks but we cant tell how old he is. Please help with any suggestions that you might have as to what may be wrong with him, we really do want to help him.

What do you think? A Dinmont is much poofier, but maybe the staffie blood gave him different hair? Personally I don't think he looks anything like a Dinmont, but I'm definitely no expert.

I have a one year old puppy, (male) and I recently 2 1/2 months ago got a friend for him (female) and I am having the worst time house training her, so when she goes inside, i do the routine (that isnt working by the way) of hitting her and throwing her outside, (this is the way the 1 year old learned) and he learned fast! Well now I am finding that he is starting to pee wherever she went. Even after I clean it, I know they can still smell through bleach, but I'm using vinegar. Is this always going to happen? Will he think it's okay to go inside now because she does? should i do what i did when he was little and hit him and throw him out? please help i'm going crazy!

My sweet Border Collie/Jack Russell mix has vomited twice in the past two days. The amount has been small and mostly liquid with just a small amount of food. His behavior has not changed though, he acts just as active as he usually is and does not seem to be in any pain. We have taken his temperature and it is normal, but we are still very concerned. At what point do we rush him to the vet? Any thoughts on what might be causing him to vomit whould be appreciated. We have not changed his diet recently or made any changes to our habits or routines that might be causing him to be vomit, so we're stumped.

I am considering adopting a small dog from a shelter. He is a Den Terrier/Staffordshire Terrier mix. I have 2 staffies, but what is a den terrier? I've never heard of that one before.
He is about 26 lbs at 1 yr old, short hair, staffie face, strange jaw (his lower jaw comes out slightly more than his upper - not by much though), bat ears, lovable, short (maybe 20 inches tall). Any ideas what breed that is? Maybe Den is short for somthing? His mouth reminds me of a Boston Terrier, but his snout is not pushed in.
