I personally dislike kennels because this is like a person being in a cell. There is not a lot of room to move around in these things.
If you must keep the dog in a kennel, then I would look at at least a 20 foot long by 10 foot wide, Remember that this dog must eat, sleep, and take care of their bodily urges in this tiny area. So YOU MUST KEEP THIS AREA VERY CLEAN. MAKE SURE THAT YOU GO IN THE KENNEL AND CLEAN IT UP NO LESS THAN 2 OR 3 TIMES A WEEK.
Remember too, that dogs are pack animals and that they want to do their buisness away from where they eat and sleep. They want their area kept clean too.
Please remember to keep PLENTY OF FRESH WATER ON HAND AT ALL TIMES. Also feed the dog on a regular schedule. One more thing, if this dog is going to be an outside dog, make sure that the dog has a good dog house to keep it out of the elements. Hope this is of some help.

I would get a 36" long wire crate for him. Most companies recommend a 30" size crate, but your should get them 1 or 2 sizes bigger for the crate that he will stay in when you are not home. Since he is a puppy, be sure to get a crate with a divider panel so that you can have it smaller (so he will not go potty in it) and then expand it as he grows.
