only go to the vet. my vet gave my puppy a liquid dewormer. they need their shots anyway, so do it all at once. never buy the crap in the store. you don't know the correct dosage to give. you don't want to make a serious mistake.

The best way to deworm a puppy is to take a stool sample to the vet to determine if and what type of worms the puppy may have. then follow the advise of the vet. many of the worming medicines purchased over the counter have been in use so long they may not have the desired effect, or the consentration is such that the worms can survive the treatment. only a veterinarian can prescribe Medicine which can treat a medical problem such as worms. deworming is best done with the assistance of a veterinarian.
With this said puppies usually need several treatment to rid them of worms they get through various means from the mother, and all dogs will at some time in their life get some type of worms. and every owner must decide what the best way to deal with the problem. some will treat using an over the counter worming medicine every few weeks for the life of the dog, others will take a stool sample with them to the vet for the anual check up, and treat only when worms are confermed to be present. pet care realy is a personal choice, though laws do require specific basic care.

There is a worm medicine you can buy at Pet Smart called
D-Worm. It is a little pricey, but it works wonders. I breed american pit bull terriers and have never had a puppy sick from worms. All the instructions are on the bottle. Get the liquid and make sure to buy a syringe. Puppies don't usually like to take their medicine. When you have the correct amount, hold the puppy w/ 1 hand and put the syringe as far into his mouth as you can. He will waste a little, but not to worry. You have to repeat the process every 2 weeks or so for 3 doses. Good Luck !

Best way to deworm a puppy is to take a stool sample to the vet and have a fecal test done and have the vet perscribe the proper dewormer for the type(s) of worms your puppy has and in the proepr dosage.
Do NOT use OTC dewormers they are ineffective, may not be for the type(s0 of worms your puppy has and can also be dangerous.

Go to your vet, buy a worm pill, put it in your hand mixed with some puppy treats and she will eat it all up. Ask your vet how often your puppy needs worming

That depends on where you live and the breed background of the puppy. A local vet is the best source to find out and if you call to ask, the receptionist might tell you what they use. You can get it from them or from a feed store. You can also get decent dewormers from stores like Petco/PetsMart or via mail order (however, you generally have to order a lot of stuff for this method to be the cheapest).
