I gave a dog great value peanut butter with the 2111 number on it, can he get sick just like humans, or does he have a strong enough stomach to handle it

Its possible. But dogs digestive tracts are more capable of handling these things than ours. I'd just keep an eye on him, if he starts acting sick, or has diarrhea for more than a day or two bring him to the vet.
I feed my dogs raw chicken on a daily basis and have never had a problem with salmonella.
And by the way, peanut butter is fine in small amounts. I put peanut butter in my dog's Kong toys all the time.

It depends. Some dogs have a good defense system but other have a weak one. Monitor him for a few days to make sure nothing happens and if you even suspect something call the vet. I would also suggest you stop giving your dog peanut butter because it posses no nutritional value and it encourages bad behavior such as sneeking food and begging. There are plenty of dog treats and foods out there for him to snack on.

He could get sick. We ate almost a whole jar of the 2111 peanut butter before we heard about the recall - not every jar is a problem.

i wouldn't reccomend giving it to your dog but if you already did he will be fine because I gave my dog the rest of my peanut butter and jelly sandwich ( I had the recalled peter pen peanut butter) and I got sick and he was fine.

Ohhhhh......i didn't think of that, i will never by peter pan again!!!!!!I hope your dog is OK-but i would take it to the vet asap in case there is some medicine they give him,check for normal symptoms though such as fever puking and dirriar!Make sure your dog DRINKS ALOT of water to flush out his system,good luck!

NO!!!!!!!! An animals system is more delicate and sensitive than ours. Their immune system is NOT like ours. You could kill your pet. The best thing you can do now is get your dog to the vet and let the vet know what happened so the vet can at least have an idea on how to treat the pet.

You musn't ever feed a dog human food.
But u can giv it meat of the table ofcource with out marinate
