A month ago I bought a female black/tan mini pinscher, Daisy. She was born September 25, 2006 and is now almost 5 months old. There is almost 12 inches from her neck to the end of hair tail. I wanted to know, how much should she weigh? Thanks.

"Good" weight is going to vary between dogs, even dogs of the same breed and age.

The best way to see if your dog is underweight, overweight, or just right is to do a rib check.

Underweight, more than the last 1 or 2 ribs is visible, extremely underweight and you'll be able to see pelvic bones as well.

Overweight, you dog has no 'waist' when viewed from above, ribs are very hard to feel.

Just right, your dog has a visible 'waist' when viewed from above, ribs aren't seen but are easily felt under a thin layer of fat.

wll if she is five months any where from 5-12 lbs, i got my minpin when he was only 3 months old so it should be around 5-12 i know it seems so light but min pins are a naturally liht breed they can eat alot and still weigh less than 15 lbs if it exceeds 20 lbs, i'd be worried :D ood luck!

i would say that she shoulld weigh about 4-5 pounds right now (i know im not an ecpert but it also depends on if she is fat or skinny) lol !
The average full weight of a min pin is anywhere from 7-11 pounds so i would say that she/he is probably anywhere from 4-6 pounds right now!
