Well in my experience dogs do not usually even react to wolf howling... either in real life or recordings. I dont know why but they seem to respond more to coyotes sounds, I think because coyotes bark more than they howl. I have a home video of a pack of wolves howling and no matter what my dogs dont react.. they may listen for a second if there is a high-pitched yelp but they do not respond to the actual howling. In fact I have found my cats respond more to wolf howls than do my 2 dogs.. I think dogs have left howling communication behind somewhat, in favor of barking. Wolves dont really bark like dogs do and most dogs dont howl like wolves do. Some do howl, especially dogs like Siberian huskies or malamutes but they are dogs that do not bark alot either, and out of all breeds husky "spitz" type dogs seem to respond to howling more than other breeds.

So it stands to reason that as humans have favored dogs that do not howl but bark instead, and are less "wolf-like" that many dogs may have lost the ability and inclination to use howling as a main form of communication. Husky breed dogs are the most like wolves of any breed because the wolf-like traits were desirable in their line of work... so they may not have had the inclination to communicate by howling bred out of them like other dog breeds.

I don't know for shore.
but some do they react to certain frequency's
for example when some dog run after cars they only run after some car depending on the sound they here in the engine.

I know of a nabeor hod with lots of dogs and every time a firetruck gos by they howl for hours lol

now wolfs may have some differences. but dogs that spend so much time with them might think that they are a wolf. there some websites and TV shows that might help you

by the way I LOVE WOLVES!!!

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/uPp6S

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.
