No, it must be a mixed breed or not a chihuahua at all. The biggest I have seen a picture of is a 25 lb male, but he is EXTREMELY overweight.

Not at all. 35 lbs is obese for a chihuahua. 2 extra lbs of body weight on a dog is like 20 extra lbs of weight on us. Your chihuahua should have a distinctive "cut" behind her ribs. Not so skinny that you can see her ribs, but small enough to be able to see where her last rib is at. You should try putting him/her on a weight maintenance food. Science Diet makes a great food for weight management. If he/she is an adult, you could try Adult Light science diet. It's a great quality food. My dog was on it for weight problems and he loved it.

35 lbs is way over weight for that breed. you need to talk to your vet about it. maybe put it on the science food diet, take walks, and NO table scraps.

NOOO...your chiuauhua must be eating non healthy food. My cat doesn't weigh that much and he is FATT! You should contact your vet and tell him what kind of food your chiuauhua should eat for a balanced diet. For my experience, feed your dog the brand "Authourity". I feed that to my dog and shes perfect weight.

Is it a mixed breed? That's the biggest chiuauhua I've ever heard of.
