It has been 24 hours since my Bichon Frise ate two of the purple "Flent" brand of ear plugs. They are like memory foam, when you squeeze them they are flat and then expand to fit your ear. He has had a bowel movement but no earplugs, but last night we was crying and his stomach was real hard. It lasted for about 10 minutes and stopped. He has not eaten this morning and no more pain has appeared. What should I do?

You need to see a vet for an xray asap. I have seen ear plugs cause many intestinal blockages, especially in small breeds and cats because they are almost the exact same size as their intestines. If they are stuck, they will have to be removed surgically, and the sooner the better to prevent the intestines from dying.

Dogs will digest just about anything...If he keeps pooping this is a good sign. You could give him a little mineral oil. I have heard of dogs pooping out amazing things-like ties, dollar bills, pantie hose.
The not so good news is that if he has an obstruction
in his intestines. This is a big problem.
I would call the vet to let him know the situation today. He will be on stand by..and wouldn't you know that dogs wait until the week-end to do this kind of stuff.

They may have compacted during the digestion process and already made their way out without you seeing them (Unless you're searching through his poop and know for a fact they haven't been in there...).

As long as he's still having normal BM's, he should be OK. Keep a close watch on him and if experiences more discomfort, or isn't on his normal #2 schedule, get him into a vet.

It's time for a visit to the vet for an x-ray.. Perhaps he ate something else, too.

You are going to have to dog proof your place or spend beaucoup on vet visits. I hope the Bischon is okay.

Don't worry. My dog eats that too and he has no problem.
Now he have another habit, he eat and break the publicity paper just because he hates the person who put those publicity in the post box.

They should come out in a bowel movement unless he has ingested something else that is blocking his intestines.

They should pass on thru. My cat swallowed about a foot of elastic string from one of her toys and about a day or so later I saw her walking around the house with something pink hanging out of her butt and gave it a yank (which she wasn,t too crazy about) but it did pass right thru.

Get him to a vet. Even if they are small, they can and will cause intestinal problems.
