first you just let your son gently pet the dog for a few minutes a day... soon put them in the same room for a bout 15 minutes a day...they can just socialize while you son sits on the floor and lets the dog come to him...and let it go from there.

Get down on the floor with the puppy and play with it. When the boy sees that you are having fun and that the puppy will not hurt you maybe he'll feel like joining you. Also, try a dog rope that puts some distance between the boy and the dog while they play "tug". You can't force it or you'll make it worse. How old/big is this puppy? I have huskies too - great dogs - don't give up on the dog yet!

IS this your child or a visitor or what?
Kids freak out when dogs jump up. So it's your job to make your puppy likeable, not so much to change the child. If your dog jumps up on him, that is scary to kids. Train your dog not to jump up.
Also, don't get the child to give the dog treats, hand to mouth. This is behavior that encourages fear, of biting. It also makes the dog want to nip at the child's hand.
Lastly, try a game that the child can do without the dog being right on him. Like fetch. Get a chukit from petsmart or petco, so the child doesn't have to reach for the ball and worry the dog will hurt him. This encourages fun play.

How old/big is the puppy? Train the pup not to do anything to scare the boy and teach the boy how to avoid doing things to make the pup wired.
My next door neighbor's daughter was 8 and afraid of dogs when we got my puppy. I taught my pup to sit for all the kids in the neighborhood but she was so afraid, even that was too much for her, so she tossed treats onto the ground in front of him.
So he learned to drop on his belly whenever he saw her.
Eventually they got used to each other, but he still lays down whenever she gets close.
Check out this book:
Before and After You Get Your Puppy by Dr. ian Dunbar.
It has some good stuff on training and socialization.
Good luck.

well put a leash on your husky and aproach your seven year old son and tell him calmly to not worry.that the dog is on a leash and can't even go anywhere unless you lead him there.then ask your wife or someone to grab the boys hand and aproach the puppy slowly while reasuring him everything will be ok.ask your 7 year old boy to pet him.make sure your puppy doesnt scare him by licking him or knowcking him down.then if your son is still scared then it will just take some time because puppy's are kind of scary to younger kids because they are so jumpy and hyper.

No - and for two reasons. You have just stated one of them - she doesn't like other animals. Your first responsibility is to her. Siberian Huskies are high energy dogs with a high prey drive. They are a very poor choice for a first time dog owner, and especially for a house with cats. The are so potentially cat aggressive that Husky rescues generally won't adopt one of their dogs to a home with cats.

try to engage in a fun game with the boy and the puppy. or have the boy give the puppy a treat. if the puppy is jumping up on him and snapping at him it will be difficult. puppies are difficult to control. explain to the boy that the puppy is excited to see him and wants to play with him, that puppies love kids.

If they are in the same house, it will just happen UNLESS the puppy is exhibiting aggressive behavior. My daughter was terrified of my german shepherd when we first got him. 6 years later they can't seem to be anywhere without the other.
