My vet told me about this new product called Pro Maris and it's supposed to be so much better than advantage and frontline but I've never heard of the product before. If you've heard of it or know of a website that has it listed please let me know. I don't want to buy something for my kitties that won't work or might harm them.

Thank you

My cat was hit by a car after escaping a cat fight. My Mom said she didn't seem to be hurt too badly. She eats, drinks, sleeps, eliminates and walks okay... but not as good as before. My real concern is her tail, which is hanging limply at the base, where I think it's broken. Is it possible it's paralyzed? She uses to talk with us, but I'm afraid she can't now. Will she be able to regain use after a while? We are still paying off her two surgeries on the same foot after a rescue mission from a feral for her late little "brother", who died last month from a complication of health problems and possibly access to spoiled food. I don't want to lose her, too, so I hope that you might be able to give me advice. Please help me.

we've been feeding the same 2 stray cats for about 3 months now. one's male and the other is female. the male is very friendly and will let you pet him, but sometimes he can also be very shy and timid. the female is extremely shy and will not let you get anywhere close to her. we need to get both of them spayed and nuetered so we have a "have a heart" trap, and i feel so terrible, the female (we call her mama cat because when we first saw her, she was with a baby kitten.. so cute!!) will be scared out of her mind. when we finally bring her back from the hospital we have to keep her in a cage for 3 days. after we let her out, do you think she'll ever come back for food again? we're doing the same thing with the male cat (we call him George) i hope he will forgive us too. what do you think?

There is a really annoying cat who keeps forcing through our magnetic cat flap (which should only open for our cat with a magnetic collar) He is attacking our cat in the night and scaring our young child.
We have tried to scare him away, but he is not intimidated by us.
What should we do?

He is obscessed with water dripping in the sink and wants to drink from the sink many times during the day. He seems healthy, not overweight and is active. Or could this just be a healthy playful fascination for him? Thanks in advance

I recently found 2 kittens that were either abandoned by the mother, or the owners. I tried everything to get them back to their mom, put up flyers but no one called, so I took care of them and now they are approx. 6-8 weeks old. I tried giving them to a shelter, and pet shops and even the humane society, but it seems like they would be best off if I could keep them. Problem is, I am a single mom with a new (3 month old) baby, and I will not have the kittens around unless I can get them declawed. The problem is, I have heard a lot of people say NEVER to do that. I know nothing about declawing, so I was wondering if anyone has had their cat declawed, what everyone thinks of this, and what it would cost. Any help would be great.

Whenever she sees me or my wife she will run away but she will sleep with us a night. Or if she is on the couch or something like that she will stay most of the time. Why does she do this if she sleeps with us?

I found a stray about 1 month and 1/2 ago and he is half siamese and tabby. He is full sized maybe a 1-2 yrs old and very playful. I play with him every morning before work and after, so he gets lots of attention. It seems only at night when I sleep he wants to cuddle and be a pet-able cat, otherwise everytime I want to pet him he tries to grab and bite me. I know its playful and I dont want to get him declawed...
Does anyone have any advice??

(((I know siamese cats are a little on the wild side)))

I can hardly pet my young male cat without him wanting to play-bite me. It's not hard biting, and he purrs as he does this. Sometimes though the biting does get a little carried away to wear it would start to hurt, and this is as he is still purring. The only time I can really raz and pet him like crazy since he never lets me, is when he wants water from our sink tap. Any suggestions without being mean to him? And no, I will not be giving him away because of this.

We had to put my cat to sleep on wednesday, and I am still really upset about it, but I keep thinking of getting a new cat, and what type, and how I would like to get one soon, but I feel so guilty because its like im replacing my Nala. I also feel mad, because she didn't really like me, or to be in my lap, or anything like that. I feel kinda mad at her that she had to die before we could really bond (even tho she was 11 yeard old.)

I realize that this may seem like a dumb question to ask, but I feel really bad that I keep thinking this about my cat

Is this ok to feel like this?

*im not a little kid by the way, im 16

Both cats (male & female) are shelter cats and declawed. I live in my RV and travel, so their play space is limited. I do not let them outside.

I'm considering spending the ridiculous amount of money required for an automatic self-cleaning litter box, but I wanted to get some opinions from people who have actually tried them. Do they actually work/function correctly? If so, which brand is the best (but not too expensive)? What problems have you had with them? Do you think it's worth the price?

From my friend "So took my comforter to get it dry cleaned after Giz (cat) peed on it. Picked it up and got it home and out of the bag----it still smells like pea really bad. Sprayed a ton of fabreeze on it----front and back---no luck. I took it back to them this morning and they said----sorry, the only way to get it out is to put it in the washer and it will fall apart if we do. Do you want us to charge you another $27 to try again. Uhm---no. Do you happen to know of anything I can do to get the smell out? I hadn't even had it for a week and I paid $100 for it. I'm so bummed that it's probably ruined."

I just moved from an apartment to a house. My 2 year old male cat will not leave the upstairs. I try to bring him downstairs but he runs off and hides into really small crevices and I'm scared he might die in a wall or something. How can I make him feel comfortable in the entire house?

I have recently taken on a 4 week old kitten that was abandoned. She has been to the vet and she is healthy however Im struggling to know how much to feed her. She is weaned and will know longer take from the syringe. She is eating small amounts of baby cat food (wet), small amounts of kitty milk and small amounts of formula- is this enough? I get up in the night and feed her every three hours... Any advice would be gratefully recieved...

We had our older cat for 2 years before we got the kitten (which is now 2), but the older cat still hates the younger one. Thought she would of got used to her by now. Both female cats.

So I was at a dog pound and I saw a blind poodle there who I felt so bad for. I also saw so many kittens in a back room (ones very tiny) and mannnnnyyyyyy other cats who would be put down if not adopted. It made me want to cry. I mean, isnt it sad how those poor cats cant get a home? If I could, I would adopt them all, plus some dogs. My Mom wanted to adopt the poodle (maybe) but my Dad said it would be too much work. And that made me feel bad too.
