This all started over the summer my cat pee on my brothers bed so we threw it away and put an air matters in his room. The next day my cat pee and pooped on his bed! A couple weeks went by and then it started again this time she peed on my bed. She did good for awhile but then about a week ago she peed and pooped on my brothers bed.

My son found this kitten on the side of the road after getting off the school bus. He seems to be about 6 weeks old but is skin and bones. He was eating a little bit of soft cat food but that slacked off overnight. I gave him a bath and combed a handful of fleas off of him. Today I had to start him on KMR with an eyedropper. He was so lethargic. After some KMR, he perked up a bit. He tries to get to his box but the stool is all liquid. I figured he needed to be dewormed but with his weight so low and him already having a runny stool, I was concerned that this would not be a good course for him. But tonight, he meowed from the crate so I picked him up and had him next to me in a shirt. He then threw up and I saw a couple of small batches of roundworms.
Do I dare give him a little bit of dewormer? We just moved up here and into a very rural area and we don't have a vet yet.
Suggestions?
No there is no emergency clinic either.

Well it is a very stressful time for me since my cat started to behave strangely today...she walks very slowly as if she is in pain...her eyes are watery...she is avoiding food, water...even toys do not get her attention....she is avoiding me too and gets into dark places...she is mostly not responding the way she used to...she seems depressed and lies down and i can tell that she is not feeling well...I am taking her to vet tomorrow but i am worried sick that delying her help might worsen her condition. she is a house cat and never leaves the house.

My dirty neighbor had a cat w/ fleas and I brought them inside I guess accidentally; now my girl has fleas. How long will it take to get rid of them w/ the Vet meds and such. Is a flea dip or bath at the Vet's reccomended?

P.S. She was really dirty. We live in an apartment complex and she used to let her cat poop all over the stairs. Her cat got preggers and she abandoned it. She's moved now.

She was rejected at 10 days and is now 4 weeks 1 day. I've been bottle feeding her kitten formula and she was doing great other than slight recurring constipation, which we've learned to deal with. About 4 days ago she started to refuse to eat, even pureed food, and she went into the vet after a day of that, but he just said she'll probably die and wouldn't do anything for her! I'm making her eat a little every half hour or so, but she's only taking in about 2 ounes every 24 hours, and her poo is turning dark and pretty solid - not hard, but not like it should be at this age.... what do I do to save her? (And this is the only vet here, I live in rural Montana so I don't have an animal shelter that might be able to help, either!)

Alright...I have been reading around and this sounds weird. Some people advise to bathe your cat in dawn dish soap. This won't hurt the cat?? My cat has fleas and honestly I have tried way too many things and nothing has worked. I have tried Frontline, Advantage, Zodiac, and also some baths.

I know that they clean oily birds off with dawn, so I guess it won't kill them, but is this alright to do for my cat? Does it have to be dawn or can it be this Seventh Generation dish soap I have that is all natural?

We have recently found out that our cat has fleas. By the time we sought treatment it seems that they multiplied. We have a 9month old daughter, she loves to play on the floor, but we are starting to see flea bites on her. We have tried the drops for the cat, multiple times. We've also tried the carpet vacuuming stuff, that didn't work either. What can we do that WILL work?? And, what of those options are also safe for my daughter??

I hope someone can suggest an effective way to prevent my FAT CAT from sleeping on my $450 soft Jeep top. We've never prevented her from sleeping on top of our other vehicles, so this may be tricky. And for you comedians who will tell me to get a dog or a gun...HA! HA!, ok? You're very amusing. Serious responses only, please. Thanks.

I brought a cat a few weeks home knowing she may be pregnant (I think someone just dumped her in my neighborhood because I had never seen her before)
Well sometime between last night and today she had her litter under a bed in the guest room. Well I kept checking on her and the last time I went in I heard a cry away from where she was with the others...and looked on the other side of the bed, there it was meowing and cold really cold with the cord and such (trying not to be gross)still attached & removed that with scissors, so I warmed baby kitty up and put it back with her, and Momma keeps pushing it away. It appears really healthy to survive that long away from her other than a paw that's turned inward like clubbed feet in humans. What should I do, I can not just sit here and let her let it die, it is really strong still. Should I remove it and feed it myself with formula from the store? Has anyone been through this? Any advice would be appreciated as I am desperate to help them!

She has always had this problem, she will eat and then alittle bit later puke it up.. sometimes it is like something is caught in her throat, others will be regergitation, rarely is it hairballs. She has been to the doctor and is fine. I have switched her food when it seems to be getting worse. It will go on for weeks at a time then stop for months.

My cat was in a traumatic accident. His palate had to be repaired. For the last week we've been feeding him by syringe. He's only been getting about 5-9 ml a day. It's just so hard and painful for him to squirt food down. He's on 2 antibiotics and pain meds as well. My question is...how much food does he need to avoid kidney failure...and to survive. He's just lost so much weight, and I'm scared for him. I know that I have to be tough and force the food...but I also don't want to make him vomit. HELP

I am thinking about getting a little Sphynx guy as the newest addition to my family.

I have done research and know that they require weekly bathings, as well as frequent nail trimming. Also, I know that they build up oil in their ears and paws, so they will need to be cleaned weekly also. They could also use a frequent rub down with an unscented babywipe. Also, I have learned that they are not really "outdoor" cats because of the extreme weather (heat/sunlight would give them a sunburn, and cold weather is just plain too cold) All of this, I can manage no problem.

What I have not found information on is: food. Do they require a special diet? How long do they usually live? Are their temperments any different from a regular cat?

Any additional information anyone can offer?

Any good/bad experiences?

I don't think I could EVER give up a pet, so I want to make sure it is a good fit with my life.

We picked up a emaciated kitten and got him back on his feet. However, in the "get kitty better" phase. He has become an indoor cat.

This is the first time we have ever had an indoor cat. We clean the litter box out often and yet the house just smells bad. What do you use to get the cat smell out of the house?

I bought a kitten today, and it had no worms in its poo, but it crawled up on my lap, and i noticed a white thing coming out of its bum (what else could it be but worms?) so now im freaking out. i dont want to hurt my unborn baby, AND i have a 3 yr old son. I called the vet, and she goes in at noon, but what are my chances of getting them or hurting my unborn child now? Im freaked out now.

The stray (whom I know to be a male) who is usually shy began walking forward closer to the screen door to my cat. My cat began to meow louder than I've ever heard her meow, like she was being tortured! She has been fixed and has annual shots, but she seemed VERY scared of this other cat and backed away from the screen door while meowing. She still seems terrified even though I shut the door. The stray, however, is still sitting outside my door and WILL NOT MOVE. What should I do? Is the stray dangerous to me? Why did my cat have such a strong reaction? I know cats meow wildly when they are in heat, but obviously my cat isn't, so what's the deal? She's been around other cats before (I got her from the local humane society) but she was more upset than I've ever seen her before. Furthermore, what should I do to get the other cat to leave my door? Please HELP!!! I don't know what to do!

Sometimes when i see my cat, she has a small film under her eyes, and sometimes she "blinks" with them, is this something cats have, or is my cat just unique

and i ask this because i've never heard of a [domestic] cat with underlids

My cat isn't that big at all, but she is pregnant, and seems to be in labor.
Shes kneading a lot and shes meowing a lot too.
Shes also not eating or urinating.
Her breathing is more deep and she is pacing around the room.
She also has a wet discharge coming out.

Is she going to give birth soon?

I have a 4 month old kitten and her litter STINKS!!! So far, I'm only cleaning it out once a day. Do I need to clean it out more often or is it the brand of litter? Right now I'm mixing 3 different kinds of litter (I bought one, but that didn't work, so I bought another and that didn't work so I bought another, but that didn't work either so I mixed them together). Please recomend litter brands that are cheap but effective!
