It is very disgusting and the brother seems to enjoy it. When I catch the female kitten do it, I immediately remove her from the area. Why is she doing this and how can I make it stop. It surely cannot be sanitary and it very unpleasant to see.

I poster before about my cat having a Perineal Urethrostomy and within 24 hours after surgery he stopped urinating again. They have done tests and ruled out any possible blockage and diagnosed him with a atonic bladder. He is on a med. to make his bladder want to contract and empty and a cathetor for thext two days. I was just looking for some feed back I guess if any one has gone through this before with there cat? He has been at the vet hospital for two weeks now and I miss him dearly!

He's severely dehydrated and I'm trying to help him increase his chances of surviving by feeding him gatorade, per vets instructions, through a syringe type thing, with a nozzle instead of a needle, but he clenches his teeth and fights, and spits most of it out.

That's the only time he shows any energy. He's so sick he's been sleeping in his litter box because he doesn't have the energy to crawl out.

Even with the best of care, his chances of living until Sunday, when the first critical 5 to 6 days are over, is only 25%.

I am taken my kitten to the vet to get his first shots on Saturday, how will his behavior be afterwards? Will he not want to be bothered or not want to play once we get home? Will he not feel like eating?

By b/f and I live together in an apartment and would like to get a new kitten. (not an adult cat) We already have 1.5yr old male at home. The thing is, we are thinking of getting a female kitten, but have some questions. First I must add, my cat is not neutered. My boyfriend refuses to allow me to get the cat fixed, he thinks it will make my cat less of a man lol. I disagree, but there's nothing I can do. If we got a female cat, we would get her fixed. We agreed to that. I am wondering though, if we got another male, and he was fixed, would they fight? I know males mark territory. Also, what's the best way to introduce the new kitten? How long would it take them to get used to eachother? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Serious comments only please. Also, our cat is strictly indoors, the new cat would be as well.

I just moved to NYC and thought living with a roomate with cats would be fine- though I don't enjoy them, I don't hate them. Well we live in a small apt with 3 ppl and she has two cats - we have our own rooms - but her cats have TAKEN OVER the gd apt. I am so annoyed - they go to the highest of places and knock over full wine bottles - roll the entire roll of toilet paper off of the thing - destroy any sort of napkin or papertowel left out in the kitchen - if I leave my bedroom door open they dart in and hide under my bed and I can't have them in there because they will scratch my comfortor apart. They are not declawed - they ruined our entire carpet - they scratch everything - they fight each other all night long - and always push their damn toys under my door into my room at night -w aking me up.

Why are they so insane? Is this normal? It's like I don't have an apt - they own it. I don't know what to do - suggestions? plz no - "love cats, they're awesome" real advice plz.

I already have one 1 yr old beagle. He's a boy. I've already been looking at dogs and I want one really bad, but he likes to play with cats. Im thinking about just finding a cat that gets along with dogs, so he wont be so lonely.

We have 2 male cats and 2 female cats, and both of the males are neutered, the females have not been spayed. When our females come in heat, our males still hump the heck out of the females, even though the males are neutered. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it unusual for a neutered male to do this?

my 5month old kitten has blood on both his hands and he seems to be clawing at his mouth violently or chewing on his nails??? not sure. he doesnt appear to be choking on anything? could it be a loose tooth he is trying to knock out or injured nail or is this a sign of rabies? he was sort of snarling a little but now he is fine sitting and purring.

She has a very strong personality. I used to call her Fluffy, but now I, and most of the neighbors, call her Psyho B****.

She only weighs about 5 pounds but she has been the terrror of at least a 3 block area. Not only does she chew off trailer hitches and attack mail boxes (I have had to pay to replace 4 in the last 2 months) but now she has made it a mission to subjugate the pit bull next door. That poor dog shivers in fear when he sees her coming.

Do you think medication would help? The baseball bat didn't do much.

I kinda like that crazy little feline, so I want to do the right thing.

i have one boy cat who is fixed and one girl cat who isnt fixed,
the girl cat usually sleeps on my bed with me.but this morning she wasnt there and my boy cat was sniffing around and i jerked my leg down to get comfortable and it was wet!

i have my blankets in my washer right now

i only think it was my girl cat because she use to pee all over the house, but then she stopped (at least i thought she did)
my boy cat never had that problem

but what kinda gross and weird is that it doesnt smell like her pee
it just smells different

my question is why did she pee all over my bed?
do you think it could have been my boy cat?
what should i do about it?
i was actually crying =[

Are there any vets or doctors out there? I am 12 weeks pregnant, and yesterday my friends cat scratched me... It was more like a puncture wound. Anyway, I am going out of my mind, worrying about Toxoplasmosis which can cause miscarriage and still birth. I called the Vets, who said, you have to "eat" the parasite and it can't be transmitted via a scratch. But,then the doctor called me back to say it IS possible to catch it, and to come in for a blood test! I am so scared, can any one advise?

My roomate is pregnant and I worry that my cat will have an bad influence on her. Is cat bad for a pregnant woman?
Therefore, while she is in my room, I would close my door to keep my cat out. But I still worry my cat's litter would influence her. Is it possible?
