We have two cats. One of them is mine and she has just always been very attached to me. I like her personality more-she is always begging for my attention and follows me everywhere. The other cat was my moms. We took both at the same time right after my husband and I got married. My mom's cat has always loved my husband more than me. She follows him everywhere. I'm not really sure how but they picked us as we picked them. Works pretty well-we both have our own cat that we like better and the cats like it that way!

I have four cats and I like them all for different reasons.
The oldest one was my first cat. She's got the greatest personality and is very friendly. She sleeps with me every night.
The next one I found on the side of the road when she was 4 weeks old. She hates people but loves to clean the dogs' ears. That just cracks me up.
The next one was found in a trash can by some local kids. She wasn't supposed to stay but stay she did. She's just a sweet little thing with a beautiful coat. She lights up any room she's in.
The last one is only a year old and still has that kittenish personality. He's an absolute riot and is learning a lot from the oldest cat. I think he's her understudy for ruling the roost and keeping the dogs in line.

I have 5 cats. One of them is mine and i love her to pieces. But everyone else in my family can't stand her because she uses all their stuff as her personal bathroom. I'm telling you if someone insults me or her; they just better keep their door closed.
My brother has a cat and he's a good cat too. But annoys the heck out of everyone as well. He just won't shut up. And I don't mean that as a rude comment, but seriously if you've ever met this cat you would go crazy too. Especially if you let him out and then he goes to every door on the house to try to get back in then go back out......
Then my moms cat is really timid but beautiful. An dthe two kittens can be royal pains in the butt and also the most adorable little guys ever. Depending on the day.
I think it all depends on how your personality and the cats personality compare...or contrast.

It is not that I love my cats more than the other - it is just that there are different types of love. You can still love your cats, but love them differently. Each has their own distinct personality - maybe one cat has something about her that the other cat does not. Yet the other cat has something that the other one does not. Think of them as children - if you had kids you would still love them all - just differently for the individuals that they are.

Favorites?! "Mom always liked me best!" hehehe. I have had one of my cats about 4 years longer the other one. She is also my lap cat, so on days when I need a good cuddle, she's always there for me. My other cat, while sweet, is more aloof and standoffish, so the emotion connection isn't really there.
however, when my husband got back from his deployment and she met him the first time, she immediately claimed him as hers.
So we each have our favorite, so neither one gets jealous of the other...

I love them pretty much the same. I have 2 and 2 fosters who I have had about 6 months. To be honest though there is something about the oldest i just love, she is sweet and loving and always there when you need a friend. The others are in there own worlds.

Yes, but she passed away last year and I still miss her a lot. We have 2 left, and they're both my husband's cats. I'd like to get another kitten and try to raise it up like my kitty, but the opportunity hasn't come up yet.

I have two cats. My male tabby came to me as a kitten of three months. My female tuxedo came to me when my mother -in-law moved to a retirement home. I love them both and try to treat them the same. If I give one treats I give the other one treats. The same with toys and playtime. They both sleep within earshot of me.

I guess I would have to say I love all three of my cats in different ways...they all have totally different personalities. My maltese female (11 yrs. old) is "Queen" and is my favorite because her love for me is unconditional; my black male (7 yrs. old) is my favorite because he is a "lovey" cat who can't stand to be anywhere but on my lap; and my black female (3 yrs. old) is my favorite because she has an "attitude" like her momma! Special cats, special situations, special circumstances, special "Loves"! >^..^<
