Whenever she sees me or my wife she will run away but she will sleep with us a night. Or if she is on the couch or something like that she will stay most of the time. Why does she do this if she sleeps with us?

She's a cat.

Cat's have all types of personalities/phobias. I have one who doesn't like black pants. As long as no one is wearing black pants, she'll walk right up to them if she knows them.

Since you said she was once feral, it's going to take some time to get domesticated. I would recommend lots of treats for good behavior and continue to support her habits when she is close to you.

It's a matter of what is going on at the time. Think of it like this. When she is on the floor looking up at you, you are a giant compared to her and she's frightened but that's normal. When your sleeping you don't seem so big and intimidating to her and she feels comfortable sleeping with you. Also if you have ever seen a litter of kittens napping you'll notice they all curl up together. She will over time realize that you and your wife are no threat to her and accept you as her family. Just be patient, kind, and loving to her.

I can't find any info on "ferrel" cat breeds (per a web search and the The Cat Fanciers' Association link, below), so I presume you meant "feral", meaning "wild" as opposed to "tame" or "domesticated".

First, I hope you took it to the vet and got its shots, because any feral mammal may carry rabies and other diseases.

Second, most mammals are social animals, and prefer the company of one particular person over another, though they may "love" everyone they see!

Third, your "details" are confusing and not quite coherent. Please rephrase it, because I genuinely don't understand what you're asking!

You don't move as quickly when you're sleeping. Feral cats are wild. They don't trust humans. Give her alot of love and time. It will get better.
