Ever heard of Freshcare?

Try that with some softener sheets. I'm no expert, but that's what I'd try. Hopefully, the comforter will fit in the bag.

I don't think there is anything that will take the smell out. If it was mine I would go ahead and try to wash it since it is ruined anyway. It might survive and surprise you and it certainly is no use to you the way it is.
It is difficult when it is a friend's pet that did it. From now on keep your door closed so no cat can get in there again. I would casually talk to my friend and ask them if the cat had ever peed oin anything of theirs and if it has how did they get the smell out. At this point a good friend would offer to pay for the comforter and you can work it out. If it is not such a good friend, and you do not care if you upset them, I would just tell them they owe me a new comforter.
Good luck with everything.

Yeah it's probably finished. >>Sorry.
The only thing you can try is to wash it by hand, so that it doesn't fall apart. Than after you wash it, (Just use normal soap), spray a whole bunch of really strong perfume on it, than hang it on the clothes line to dry. Make sure you try putting the perfume on when it's wet, so that the comforter can take in the perfume smell.
If you put the perfume when it is already dry, the comforter will just take in the perfume, but after about 1 hour, it will wear off. I hope it works.
Good Luck.

The only products I am aware of that treat urine are products similar to Nature's Miracle. I'm not sure if this product will harm your comforter, but at this point I'd say it's worth the risk, since you'll have to throw away the comforter if you don't get the urine out. You can also try washing it at home by hand or on the very gentle cycle. Again, at this point you have nothing to lose.

I would go ahead and wash it because its ruin anyway....and I have a dry clean only comforter and I've put it in the washer on the gentlest cycle. It was made out of micro suede and it didn't hurt it at all. Maybe you'll be lucky and it won't get ruined. Hope this helped!!!

I think it is ruined, too. Your friend owes you a new comforter. Keep the door closed and keep the cat out of your room.

Try washing it anyway. It may not get ruined by washing.
