I was doing research on the net and one of the side effects is diarrhea. I have kept her in today in hopes that she will poo and I can examine it (yes, gross, but that's what parents do)!

My question is (I am calling my vet today) if she is having diarrhea, is it safe to just cut out the treatment entirely? She hasn't been on it long term, which is when they should be weaned off of it, but I just want to be sure that if I cut it out entirely I won't be making life hell for her.

that I love dearly, however he is very aggressive with me, He is spoiled and bites me when ever he cant have things his way,At one point i even took him to a shelter hopeing to find him a good home, only to call the next day to find out they were going to put him down if i did not go get him,I went out and my poor cat was scared to death,he wouldnt let anyone around him but me. I felt so bad, this cat is so smart he can open the door to go out in the hall, he can not go out doors because he is declawed,.he can also be so loveing at times,I have tryed everything to stop his biteing, the thought alone of putting him down makes me cry.I have put him in the paper but even tho i put no kids they call and i tell them i dont think he would be good with kids,i have been looking for a year for a good home, this cat i beleave would be a great mouser,we do not have no kill shelters here or 4 cats only.as funny as this sounds i no this cat loves me. he does have alot good in him, please give advise.

We have 3 cats, all of them strictly indoors. My little sister's cat, female, young adult, went missing on the 14th. My mom said she was playing in the back room chasing after a fly, and she hadn't seen her since then. We think she might have jumped on the screen door we have there and it wouldn't hold...so it swung open, she ran out, and the wind blew the door shut again, because nobody noticed an open door.

We've already looked everywhere inside, talked to several neighbors, put up posters in public areas, regularly contact animal control, and done a sweep of the nearby areas outside, including sheds, garages, etc. What else can we do? We're all worried sick. She hasn't had any shots, she isn't spayed, and she isn't microchipped...

What are the odds of us finding her? What else can we do? We're all worried sick about the poor cat. =(

i have to go out of town for a week or two (give or take) and I'm worried about leaving my 5 month old tabby alone. Should he be ok? i'll have people checking on him daily, i just worry about his connection with me being injured. ALSO I am moving and i'm wondering what I can do to help him adjust and keep his same personality after the move.

My daughter has been having problems with flea invasion. The pets are now flea-free, and they are staying at my house, but they continue to have problems in their home even though they've bought all the remedies from store and vet. It seems professional fumigation is needed. She is pregnant, however, and fearful of the residual chemicals. Anybody know if this could be potentially dangerous to her 3-month pregnant body and tiny growing baby? Thanks in advance for your help in answering this question. (Uh-hum...We would like to send their pets back home!)

My grandmother's cat had kittens and she has trouble taking care of them, so I said I'd take one home with me.

They're about 2 weeks old and can eat solid food, but also still drink the mother's breast milk when they get a chance. I don't want to take it home and risk it's health before it's completely weaned. And I know it's just a baby and needs to be emotionally weaned as well.

First I need to clean up my house to make it safe for the kitten, and buy cat food and a litter box. How long should I wait before bringing it home? Would 2 more weeks be appropriate?

I have a chihuahua and it protects in case of an accident, illness, routine preventative care, like dental cleanings and vaccinations and most plans cover spaying and neutering. Although I don't take my chihuhua to the vet often should I get this insurance? what do you think?

I have 2 questions. Please help

1) When is the right time and age for a kitten to be given away to a famliy or pet shop? I have 8 kittens, and im sad to say this, but i have to give them away :(. There are about 1 month old now, they can walk, and eat by themselves. But im not sure how old exact they have to be in order to give them away. Please help.

2) I havent found a decent home for the kittens, so i was wondering if anyone knows a good home where i can leave them in. I dont want to give them to a stranger in the streets. Id rather give them to a person who i kno will love and take care of them. So if anyone has any info on this, please reply..

thanks

I have a neighbor who insists on luring my cat or cats into her house, I have ask her not to do this but she will do it any way.
This evening when I got home the cats were at the door ready to say hi and then they like to go out and sit on the porch and run around the yard they don’t go any where really they just like to go out for awhile, this evening I left the door ajar so they could come in when they heard me open the can of cat food, when I opened the can no cats.... I went to the door and there she was trying to get the cats into her house. When she saw me she rushed back into her house, so I didn’t get a chance to say anything to her.
This person has cats of her own they go out so it isn’t that she thinks I shouldn’t let mine out. I have wondered it she thinks my cats are to slim, she has really fat cats and seems to think they look good.
I have talked to her 50 times about this; I have been nice and rude. I have told her if they get used to going into her house they might go into someone else’s and ill never see them again. What am I going to do?

Ok, I have looked at lots of answers to flea infestation problems and I am totally empathizing with everyone out there and their pets who are suffering from these critters. My question is this. In a few days, I am moving from a flea-infested apartment to a flea-free house. What's the best way to insure the fleas stay behind? Treat the cats with the Frontline drops (that I have used faithfully every month, but they do very little when your environment was already over-run with fleas) and THEN move them out of the apartment? Or bring them into the NEW house and then treat them with the Frontline? Won't the eggs that are on them fall into the new house and begin hatching and then I'll have the same problem all over again? None of the vets or groomers in my area will flea dip my cats because they are both over 10 years of age. Any help would be SO greatly appreciated. My cats and I thank you.

I'm asking cause I have an adult male cat and a kitten that are going to get neutered soon and I would like to know what changes they make when they get neutered and why. I like the cats I have now and don't want them to change! Also is it painful????!!! and if so do you have to give them pain killers? Do they get scars afterwards? Thank you for your time: ).

i'm 16 and I found this cute kitten outside by the dumpster and i deceded to bring him/her home. I've already named the kitten, Tiara (i hope it's a girl, if not I'm still not changing the name). I've been keeping it in my room with the door closed and I've been feeding it there, too. It's been two days and it's been hard. Today I accidentely left my bedroom door cracked and the cat got out and made a mess of the bathroom and went down to the kitchen and got in the trash can and spread things around the floor. i had to hurry up and clean it up plus find her before my mom and her boyfriend got home. what should I do because I can't keep this up forever! I know my mom wont let me keep her because she's scared of cats. Please help?

He's 5 months old and is very hyper. He loves water ( what cat loves water?) and he likes to put his paw in his bowl and throws the water everywhere. He attacks everyone all the time, claws and bites everything as well. I got him when he was 6 months old and he was very calm but now he's a mess. WHAT CAN I DO?? Help!
