Cats - September 2007

Ok our kitten is starting to getting into trouble like shredding the furniture and curtains. They aren't ruined yet but we want her to be declawed as soon as possible so she can't ruin the furniture? When age can a kitten get declawed?

My cat likes nothing better than having a sleep on my lap and as soon as I sit down he dives on me for a cuddle, most of the time I'm only going to be sitting down for a minute but stay for ages because he looks so cosy, but as soon as my boyfriend gets in from work at night my cat jumps off me and gets in his own bed. Why is this? We got the cat together and my boyfriend (the cats dad!) is always nice to him and plays with him and cuddles him, why doesn't he come near me when he is home? I don't want my kitty to think I don't want him or feel left out

Since 3 days my neibough's has discovered how to get onto my balcony....
Apart from strangling the damn thing how do I convince him that he 'aint welcome...... Nothing nasty please, I do like animals, but my little girl is alergic and I cant stand the smell of male cat pi........
Ps. I live in the south of Europe so my windows are always open

We got a cat from my mom, he is neutered and is about 3yrs old. He is front declawed. He used to be my 3 yr olds buddy when we would vist, but now that he is at our home, (with better food, more toys and flea and worm treatments) he is biting and attacking anyone that goes within in 3 feet of him. He is exspecially aggressive towards my 3 yr old. We can't pet him or go anywhere near him or he attacks. Does anyone have any ideas, or he will go to the Shelter?!

my husband and i are currently working on our garden..and we decided to make it more fun for our cats and dog by adding animal friendly plants. We are gonna get some catnip and catmint. I told my neighbour yesterday and she said i was weird and over the top and that the cats would be spoiled! surely its better they enjoy and stay in our safe garden than go wandering around the roads?

I just found a stray cat a few weeks ago, and she was already pregnant. I know she had her kittens, and I need to know how to find them! I do not want them to be wild and reproduce!
I have tried alot, bell collar, following her, and tying a LONG string around her, but no luck. I really need to know how to find a nest because I have looked everywhere.

hello! thanks for reading! so my problem is this: In the last year or two, my neighbourhood has been growing a stray cat population.All our neighbours feed them and they live at our house. All started out as kittens but two, and they have grown, and now there's a new momma with kittens. Their eyes are open, but they're pretty small, as is the momma. I'd like to catch them and domesticate them, or even just spay them. any ideas that work as to how to catch them without hurting them? we don't mind them, and don't want them put down, but these ones would make good pets. thanks soooo much! please hurry!

It's that time of year again...please watch out for your black cats. Shelters won't even adopt them out during October because around this time of year freaks are looking for everything from a prop for their haunted house to a sacrifice for their ritual. Will you be careful with your kitties?

I hate my friend's cat. It'll hop up into your lap, rub it's face all over you, purr and basically act like it wants to be petted.

Then, out of nowhere, it'll suddenly turn, bite your hand and run away. WTF.

I actually wanted a cat until I babysat hers. Do all cats do this?

i've noticed the past few days that my cat's been incredibly lazy. she just kinda lays around my room all day and when im at my computer wants to sit on my lap (not to be patted, just to sit there. body heat maybe?) i have to carry her downstairs just so she'll eat.
i dont really know all that much about cats, but in my opinion she's pretty old. i want to say about 11 or 12 years. so what do you think?
