How old is the kitten? My year and a half old male used to have runny poop until he was around 6 months old. I did run him by the vet and couldn't find anything wrong with him. He was putting on weight and growing normally (in fact very fast). It stopped on its own accord after 6 months.

If it is more than 2 months old, and you are still feeding it cows milk, maybe it is time to stop that. Cats lose the ability to digest milk after a certain age. You should start weaning the kitten on to solid (wet or dry) kitten food if it is more than 2 months old.

Definitely take your kitten to the vet to get him examined.

Are the kittens inside or outside? How old are they? Are they still nursing? (If so, check the water. They should drink the same water you do, or you could give them Pedialyte, which is what we give babies and toddlers with diarrhea.) If the kittens are older, what are they eating? (Sometimes canned food is too rich for them.)

If they're bigger and eating solid food, you can give them some canned pumpkin for fiber to firm the stools up. Never give them cows milk because most cats are lactose intolerant, which causes diarrhea.

If the kittens are smaller, it would be a good idea to take them (and their momma) to the vet because diarrhea can cause dehydration very quickly, which can be very serious for kittens.

If stools are runny I check all of the above and rarely does it last more than a day. I have raised many kittens and have had very few with this problem.

How old is the kitten and is it still nursing.. I would think that if its runny it might be getting dehydrated.. make sure he has plenty of fluids and if you don't see any improvement within a couple of days.. call your vet..

No this is not normal and if it does not reslove itself in a few days then go to the vets and take a stool sample with you for testing.

No it isn't normal. Changing foods too rapidly can also cause this.

It depends on what kind of food you are feeding it.
