Please don't put him down. My friend has a cat far worse than this. He literally tears shreds off her arms. However, there are ways to help. Is he desexed? This is a big help. Also ask your vet about "Kitty Kalm" (we have this in Australia) or some other type of calming medicine you can put in their food. There are also hormone injections you can get for him to settle him down, and a plug-in hormone spray for your home. Lastly, I think you will need to try a bit of discipline - a water bottle spray in his face (it doesn't hurt them) will stop him going for you, or whenever he's doing something naughty. He obviously thinks he is the top cat between the two of you. Although cats aren't easy to discipline, you need to re-establish the fact that you are the boss and you have the food!

1. You are responsible for this cat, especially since you had him declawed. This is probably the reason he took up biting, it is very common with declawed cats. Next time don't declaw a cat.
2. My cat is the same. He is not declawed, but he bites a lot because he had a rough childhood on the streets. Anyway, I love him so much that I can't imagine how you would ever think of throwing him away or putting him down! He is my baby, we sleep together, even if sometimes he bites me. But he does love me, and i know your cat loves you and he shows it to you many times.
3. So just keep your cat, and don't bother him much when he doesn't want to be bothered, and don't spoil him (be more strict, speak to him in a strict voice or even shout at him whenever he bites you and shut him out of your room until he regrets it, and he becomes cuddly again, and then let him be with you again).

Sadly, biting is commonly seen in declawed cats. This is not an unusual way for them to behave.

If you really can't cope with the cat, you must try to find him a new home. Continue with the adverts - it isn't easy to find the right home, but perservere. Call the ASPCA (or equivalent to wherever you live) to find where the nearest no-kill shelter is - you may have to drive a bit, but if you've been looking this long that's what it may take.

this cat thinks its the boss of you,
we can choose our animals but we can't choose their personality,
has he been desexed, if not you might want to try it,
there is a technic used to stop cats from scratching on things they are not suposed to , maybe you could try it when it bites you, ,
you have to keep a water pistal or spray bottle of water handy , set up a few of them around the house. when the cat bites give it a quick spray , cats hate water, and they soon learn not to do the thing they are getting sprayed for, the only thing is that this usually only works if the cat doesn't see where the spray is coming from , i would hate for the cat to think that every time it seen you it was going to get sprayed it might loose its trust in you , so you may have to be sneaky when it comes to spraying it

i think you should keep the cat,out of all your efforts to find him a home he only ended up back with you anyway,he's biting b'cause he wants to play, have you thought to get him a mate/friend,i bet it would do wonders for him,but please keep the cat.
