Unfortunately, you probably can't keep this up forever, so find someone dependable who you can give the kitten to like a trusted friend or family member who might want a pet. If you can't find anyone to take care of the kitten or 'adopt' it, bring it to a shelter and check up on it from time to time. However, before you do any of this, the kitty needs to be brought to the vet for an evaluation and vaccines, etc.

Oh, gosh, you're kind of in a hard spot. You know you can't keep the kitten hidden from your mom - the longer you try, the worse it will be. Are you sure the kitten doesn't already belong to someone?
You need to tell your mom you found a kitten and ask her for help in finding the kitten's owner, or finding it a new home. You could perhaps ask your mom to allow you to keep it while you look for the owner, or someone to adopt it. If she's hesitant, maybe set a time limit - like 2 weeks - and a plan for what to do when that time is up. Be sure to tell her that you are willing to be responsible for its care.
Put up some 'found kitten' signs in your neighborhood. Contact local vets and animal shelters and ask for help in finding a good home for the kitty.
Good luck!

You should never keep a secret from your mom, why? Moms know everything trust me I am one. The tricky part is this; your mom probably already knows about the kitten and is just waiting to see when you are going to tell her. The longer you wait the more upset she may become. It is just best to come clean right at the start.
Perhaps you should try a different approach and get her boyfriend to convince her to keep the kitten.
Good Luck!

You need to tell your mom cos sooner or later it will need a vet. What will you do if it gets pregnant etc, do you have a litter tray for it even? This is a really bad idea. Besides, how do you know it doesn't belong to an elderly neighbour who might now be distraught cos she has lost her pet.
Tell your mom.
Tell her before you fall even more in love with it, it will only get harder to part with it and that sounds inevitable. She may not let you keep it but if you like cats maybe you could help out at your local rescue home.
I can tell you are clever enough to realise you should tell her before she finds out, which would be much much harder.

You're in a difficult situation here. I understand that you really want to keep this kitty, but keeping secrets from your mom isn't exactly right either. I'm sure you wouldn't want her to keep secrets from you.
It might be time for you to face your mom and explain to her in the most mature way possible that you have a kinship with this kitty and you'll be responsible for its care and needs. Keep in mind that basic cat care costs approximately $600 a year without any complications. This is just for food, cat litter, vaccinations and toys. Should you not be able to afford this, it might be better for you to locate a no-kill shelter, have them take the kitten and wait a few years until you can live independently to get a friend you can call your own.

why is your mom afriad of cats? I understand beign allergic but scared? that's a cope out.
hiding won't last forever so just get it over with and tell her
have the baby always in your room (litter box and food stashed there) and only let her play in the house when you are there - try and keep away from mom as much as possible
have the baby outside instead
out of sight, out of mind
if you can't keep her, give to a friend so you can visit Tara
find her a good home

trust me. dont even try. be open and honest with your mom. the longer you hide it, the harder its going to be, and the more trouble you'll be in if she finds out. The cats not going to be happy if it has only you're room to run around in. if you have the best interests of the kitten in mind, tell your mom. if she lets you keep it, then thats great. but if not, then make sure it goes to a good home where it can be happier that it would be cooped up in you're bedroom.
goodluck.

Try to find a good home for the cat.
Ask your friends, especially girls, if they
would like a cat. Few girls can resist
a kitten. If you try to push this on your
mom you know what is going to happen.
Why look for trouble.

There is no way you can hide a cat.
She needs kitten food, shots, litter, and will need to be spayed when she is about 6 months old.
Talk to your mom about it. She may end up really liking the cat.

Don't hide it! Your mom will find out and then get mad. Instead, talk to her and tell her you want to take care of it ALL by yourself. Ask her to give you a certain amount of time to prove yourself and then make sure you live up to it. If your mom can start when it's a kitten, she can grow to love it and not be afraid.
