So my two new kittens who are about 10 weeks old, are very spacstic and hyper, if you have kittens you will know what I mean, they are chasing each other around the house full speed, attacing each other, one almost jumed of the stair landing. I know that thats how kittens play, but my parents are asleep, and its getting on my nerves. How can I make them calm?

I took my 13 week old kitten to the vet on Saturday for his booster vaccination and the vet also gave him his rabies shot. He has had a bit of diarrhea since Saturday afternoon. He is not sick in any other way, he still plays and eats and does all the normal kitten things. I wouldn't say that he has diarrhea but his stools are definately loose. Is this normal?

And for the past month, she has done nothing but got on kitchen counter, tried to get human food, etc etc. This is not her first litter so I don't know what is wrong. And it's not like she does not get cat food (9 Lives canned PLUS 9 Lives dry) Any suggestions as to keep her from doing this (besides keep setting her down)? Anybody have these problems before? Or even now? She is really driving me bonkers. Thanks

i recently had to put a cat down for cancer. It's still tearing me apart, despite being able to go through a day and smile, and having a wonderful kitten, who is a great cat on her own, i'm still torn up. This cat who i've had all my adult life, was hurting, stopped eating, and found his hiding place.
I chose to put him down, but the day it took place, he ate. He still cried in pain if you touched him, but he started eating agiain, and that's killing me. I couldn't stand to see him hurting, and i made the hardest decision i've ever made. But it's killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!! So this question is more than one.
How long does it take to come to terms with the decision to put a cat down?
And how do i know that i couldn't have had longer with him??? Without making him suffer?????

OK, so I got my cat spayed a few days ago, and she is almost back to normal, she is eating and playing some. I can tell she is feeling better, but her stiches look well....nasty, She is very swollen around the stiches, and she licks it all the time. Should I take her to the vet or is that normal? Please help!!! I love my Baby!!!

My 1 year old male cat has been pulling out big chunks of fur from his backside and tail. He has been treated for fleas and has not had any mats. There have not been any changes in the living situation, the only thing that has happened recently is my pregnancy. What can I do to help him?

My 3 year old, healthy male cat, for no reason we could possibly think of has started to use the carpet and our chairs for a litter box. He has never done it before. Any one has any idea or had to deal with a similar situation? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey,

My cat ate a 200mg ibuprofen tablet about 24 hours ago and she had been vomiting all day. She's very active and playful still but she will stop and puke randomly. I took her to the vet and the doctor told me it is a low dosage and not something that could kill her. She recommended that my cat stay overnight and receive fluid treatments... but it would cost me $700! As a newlywed, I really can't afford that so I had to decline. She doesn't seem to be vomiting anymore but I'm still nervous. What can I possibly do to help get the ibuprofen out of her system?

My wide and I have two cats who seem very healthy and happy. They are constantly spoiled with love and affection. They eat good (or high) quality cat food and are very well taken care of. They are strictly indoor cats. If they are outside its only in the yard and under supervision.

One is an 8 year old male, and lately he has been urinating in places where he did not used to urinate, like in the foyer (near the front door) and even in our bedroom, and with no clear reason. This has only rarely been an issue in the past, but recently it seems to be happening a lot and we can't figure out why. A friend suggested it could be an infection of the urinary tract, or something like that. I thought maybe it was psychological, but there would seem to be no reason for that. There has been no real change in his life style or surroundings.

What could this be? We are taking him to the vet tomorrow, but I still thought I would see if anyone here had any ideas.

I have the cutest kitty that comes to visit me and my own two kitties. She hangs out on the back porch, rolls over, does tricks, and sometimes just lays by my back door. My one cat even gets excited when she comes. They are friends. I am concerned though, because she doesn't have a collar. I only see her at night and she looks healthy. She is very social. If I opened the door, I have no doubt that she would come right in. Where strays tend to be more guarded. I put some food out for her yesterday and she didn't really eat any of it. I did give her a few treats today that she ate - I kind of just tossed them outside on the porch. She is such a sweet thing, but I feel badly for her that she doesn't have a collar. She may actually be a stray or be abandoned. I volunteer at the Humane Society and have thought about calling them, but am worried that she may belong to someone. What do you think? I worry about her safety, being outside - especially with no collar!

There's this really awsome new breed of cat called the toyger and they are adorable. Look them up online

They sorda look like tigers almost but in a house cat version. OMG. I don't know anyone who has one yet, and i think they're kinda rare. They're like a mix between a blue persian and something else i can't remember but they are really cute.

I have been using the flushable kind of litter but it started getting nasty as it doesnt clump well and left my toilet disgusting. I now bought the usual scoopable litter, but I'm not sure where to dispose of it. Is it unhealthy to just have a mini garbage pail w/ a lid next to the box to dump it into and then just empty that every few days? Just wondering how others dispose of it.

I bought a 3-pack of Frontline Plus for my cat. The first dose I gave her when she was laying down, and I unfortunately dosed her in a spot where she licked it off. I then re-dosed her, saw a little relief. Two weeks later, she was miserable again. Re-dosed again. Seems better, but not great. It's now been about a month since last dose, and I can re-dose her again, but I don't want to spend the money on something that doesn't seem to be working. Any other suggestions???
