NEVER ever ever give a cat human medicines without checking with a veterinarian FIRST! Many of our things are toxic and can poison a cat. Some things dogs can have but not cats, as well, so don't mix medicines between species either.

A call to a veterinarian can give you the answer.

No, there are medicines out there *exactly* like peptobismal, but formulated for cats or dogs. I handle them on a regular basis, packaging and giving them to cats. Its *Not* the same thing.

I was just instructed by my vet to give my ferrets a small dose of pepto. So it is obviously safe for some animals. I wouldn't just start dosing my cat with it, but you could just call and ask a vet. Plus, you couldn't give it a human dosage (ex: my little guys get 0.25cc).

No, too much magnesium in it. You can give a vet prescribed phosphorous blocker that is similar. Pepcid AC is good for cats iwth a real chronic disorder making them sick. I would have your cat checked out if something like this is wrong. good luck!!

It is very toxic to cats because it has aspirin in it. Read this link and it will tell about what drugs to avoid.
